I currently play at Stars and FTP

I am a SN at Stars and play enough each day at FTP to achieve Iron man. (200 points)

I will never make SNE so I was maybe interested in playing at other websites that take US players. (for bonuses and promos)

After doing a little digging at pokerscout the four I came up with were
Cake, Bodog, Cerus and Merge.

I know cake and merge have many sites in the networks.

Can anyone give me any tips on playing at those sites and taking of advantage of any monthly promos?

Or is it best with the cake/merge sites to just take advantage of the sign up bonuses and then move on to the next website in the group?

I am also pretty confused by cakes various promos and what they are worth in value to a player such as myself.

Any help would be appreciated.

Americans have it easy, they only have 2 options. In Europe we have hundreds.

I played Party and it was full of fishes and the software was good, but I had the feeling that the rake was biggish. When I saw their add I moved to Entraction, I have no idea whether the rake is lower or not, but at least they give RB. I hate the software, there is no timebank and it has too many Finnish compatriots as regs.
Nothing wrong with that on weekends when they are dead drunk and spew money (half joking) but generally we are the more aggro spew kind fish than of the the cbet and give up weaktight fish. And I prefer my tables to be a mixture of stations and nits, not the kind of players who try to bluff me off my bluffs.

But no the tables are all right, the lack of timebank is a real problem and I want to be able to take 30-40s with my decision once or twice in a session.

So once my 50 days bonus is over I will gtfo here and try some other place.
What is a good place to go for 25 and 50NL?

I have noticed that the pokerrooms advertise great freerolls, gualifiers and
tournament related crap in which I'm not interested. You can get info on deposit bonuses and rakeback, but nobody tells who has the least rake for UNL to start with*. They don't tell how soft their games are either

So any opinions?

*It would be interesting to know if there is some list somewhere that compares the rake taken by different poker rooms. RB is meaningless unless you know how much rake there is in the first place. 70% 20 is still bigger than 100% of 12.

I would say either try to shadily aquire a RB account at Party or just stick to FT/UB/AP w/rakeback.

yesright, consolidating your play at stars is likely to give you a higher rakeback equivalent result. there are a heap of milestone bonuses for earning 200k, 300k, etc., VPPs in a year.

I can't decide where to play. I need a site with rakeback and traffic at STT's. I can play on any site but found the only good ones are accepting US. I have decided against the biggest and have the choice of Cake or UB. Cake has no bad history but the software isn't good and $500 min. cashout. UB has much more players but with a bad history, it's hard to support joining them.

I looked and decided against alot of ones like ongame and IPN. ipoker, pacific and party are all VIP and everest too. are there any ones with rakeback I'm forgetting? entraction is all nits?

software is better/cashouts are quicker/support is always online or a phone call away,so no waiting 55 days for a response on something, you get it right away. the player field is soft even if you decide to transition to cash. everyone used to view cake as a soft site but now its just filled with sharks because of the previous.

I hope you wont get flamed. I would love to hear any positives about UB. I do agree about their software, banking and support. My only concern is when people call it soft, is it meaning cash games? Everyone says party is so soft, but they mean the cash games are soft. STT's are regs and I'm looking to get away from that. Not entirely but mostly.

Being non-US it still seems wrong of me to consider UB, but I really can't find any perfect euro site.

Ok - UB or AP sounds great for you.

Go with FTP, or Stars. Both have good software, tons of traffic,a nd no bad history... why bother going somehwere else? Plus 27% rakeback makes snese if you can 14 table which is going to be harder at a AP/UB....

I'm sorry it's more than one thread but you don't know how hard it is to pick a site. I think some forums have better advice as well.

The games simply can't be beat on FTP or Stars. It's always the same regs no matter what time I open the lobby up. I want sites with less of them.

UP/AB has a steady flow of traffic and I think it's my only real choice, but it sucks I will be paranoid there.

Stars and FTP are both beatable. You just have to learn ICM and play the games you are good at. there are tons of people making money. Perhaps you should invest in SNGWiz and other tools andjust get better. Then you are not paraniod and also can play as many tables at the same time which equals better hourly.

I'm not saying there will be a site with no regs at all, but surely there will be some with less? I do not have the time to go through them all and see what the games are like. Even if I could do that I don't have the rolls to transfer on every site like everyone else here.

I'm asking politely where I should play. Hell, basically strangers can pick the site best for me. But Rek posts and your one word ones help me in no way.

Its not like your buying a house....you can put money on site A, dont like it...move. Put on site B...etc

I had a good, consistent game on Stars for the past year, but even with variance I have been losing more and more. It's nothing to do with skill, it's playing the same people over and over again. I just want a change of site with more random players. SilverStar is also nothing to me, because someone said you need rakeback to grind SNG's these days.

I don't want that. I came here to ask what is the best site for me and will put a large deposit on whatever it will be. I'm asking where the f should I play and go there for good. I have no interest in jumping site to site, I want ONE of you to recommend the ONE.
