I understand I lost due to him having me dead on the flop, but I raised him to 1bb less than his stack and he magically gained 12bb more. Anyone else ever experience this?

Did you mean to raise $6.60 more on top of the bet of $1.20 (which would leave him having the intended 1bb behind) instead of TO $6.60 in total? Whatever you type in or choose with a bet slider will be the total amount of the bet, not the increase in bet size.
