I’m not sure this is the correct place to post this. Please let me know. Does the below scenario also shows up in brick and mortar casino tournaments?

First, a little about me. I play Poker Stars play money because I live in Colorado and can not play live money on-line. I enjoy playing tournaments to the end, whichever end that may be. But, if something more important comes up I will leave the tournament whether I am up or down.

Play tables only. I’ve noticed that when I play multi-table 45-player or 700 or more player tournaments that if I leave with approximately $5000 tournament chips I can usually end up in a winning tournament chip hand.

I play a single-table tournament where winning places are 1, 2, and 3. If I am up by $5000 and I have to leave a lot of the time I end up in fourth place.

So it appears that table dynamics are different for multi-table versus single-table play.

Do these dynamics work in a live casino tournament? It doesn’t seem to work that way.

I realize that this is play-chips and the dynamics may be different. When I play a live casino tournament I probably play differently and I concentrate more on the playing aspect than where I am early on in the game.

Thank you;
Sherman, ShermW0829

Sherman,
My advice is to get away from the play money dynamics. Download a free Bitcoin wallet such as Multibit, buy some Bitcoin with cash from a Localbitcoins dealer near you, and play poker on a Bitcoin site.

I apologize but I don't understand, BoboFett. Are you saying that I can just put in a fake Nevada address and play on Poker Stars since they don't know where I am playing from? Maybe I missed something in the reading of http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/28...-14-a-1238038/

Sorry, I assumed that in your OP you meant you couldn't play on any real money sites, but I guess you must've meant you can't play on Stars for real money, and you are correct. The thread I linked you to shows the sites where you can play for real money.
