Please someone tell me that WWW.PSFUNDS.COM is a legit company. They spammed one of the Full Tilt rooms that I was in, and said that they could transfer money from site to site. I needed to get money onto poker stars, so I decided to give it a try. I transfered $500, and an hour and a half later I am still waiting. Can anyone vouch for these guys?

for starters, no vig and its a transfer website? who would bother unless they were scamming? Here is something to keep in mind guys, most scammers don't try to get vig.

Um...wow. Seriously? All I have to do to get your money is spam poker rooms? That actually works??? Ugh. Good luck to you, but it's hard to imagine that money not being long gone.

I guess at least then I can warn you guys. I thought that because they had a website and live operators standing by that they were legit. I mean if they ran this as a legit business, rather than scamming they would probably make more money. I know flawed logic... I was using level II thinking, when I shouldn't have been. By the way they did charge vig, it was $10 per $100 or $25 for $500. Because of the discount in Vig at $500, I decided to do that, 2nd donktastic mistake. Won $600 in about an hour playing 1/2NL, only to get scammed out of most it. I'm trying to pretend that I that I just ran AA into QQ, for a $500 pot and got sucked out on. At least is better than getting scammed.

No, he is not neccessarily legit so it's pretty dangerous to post this. He has completed a successful transfer, that does not make him totally legit, you need to do many transfers before you are considered legit.

If people continue to write this, you realise how easy it would be for scammers to complete one or two successful trade, some postive feedback and use them to convince some sucker to send first?

You should simply write, 'successful transfer completed with XXX for $XXX'

goko387 scammed me for 1k. Sent on stars then I sent to his AP, then stars emails me saying the funds are fraudulent etc etc and they take the 1k from my account.

Sad to say that this seems to be a pattern. There have been a number of incidents amounting to >$10k in bad stars funds within the last month. Who knows how many more scams happened but the scammed party was too embarrassed to report it.

There is a long thread by wcgrider on his experience and pokerstar's short response. Do a search.

Most scammers fit into this profile.
- New 2+2 account with few posts yet seem to know how the trading thread works.
- Willing to send first and all at once. Doesn't it seem strange that these new accounts would be this trusting.
- No or very little playing history on OPR or sharkscope.

Can I ask why the hell we aren't doing something about Stars being so negligent in this matter???!?

There was big WCGRider thread in the zoo a while back about it and all the reasonable info produced there indicates that it's really their responsibility to make sure funds are legit before letting them be used in any way.

With all of the fradulent funds you cant be too careful, and that is one huge reason why there is a market for reputable traders who can charge a vig

Preventative action - there is tons of advice on how to avoid being scammed.

Yes, I agree with taking preventative measures.

I also think Stars is wrong in freezing accounts and confiscating the funds.
