This could have easily been averted. You 'traded' with a low post newcomer, and you did not investigate before you sent.

The screen name acez_acehigh is strikingly similar to a known scammer. A review of the alledged scammers list in this thread would cause most folks to hit the brakes on this one.

Next time, get the account name that you are sending to, and do some checking before you send.

Feel free to post here, and ask for help.

There is additional excellent advice throughout this thread, and an especially important read is the first post.

I also notice that you posted on the FTP forum in a thread that contains some valuable tips.

That said, there are tools available to you to avoid exactly what happened here, and veteran traders available to help you along.

Please feel free to use them on any of your future dealings.

What agreement did you have regarding the timing of the trade?

I looked at his posts here from the last two months. I found numerous posts soliciting trades, but no real feedback one way or the other.

He's a semi-regular here, and seems saavy and helpful at uncovering scammers.

I sense that you're okay, but sure would like some other feedback.

I think you owe the guy 24 hours before you call him a scammer.
Just relax give the guy the benifit of the doubt and then they chastise him. Plenty of time to do that....

transfers can take more than an hour to go through. unbunch your panties.

The up side is if you're right, others will have been warned early and he can't scam any more people. Of course if you're wrong, maybe a post warning that nobody trade with him until your transfer is complete would have been more appropriate in this situation.
