OMG I feel so bad, he PM'd me and when I looked up his names there was essentially no activity on them, he finally gave me an Absolute ID, but I didn't feel comfortable it was him. Was going to dig further, but I had already spent 30 minutes researching him already. His occupation said "unemployed since Black Friday" so I said "Surely you have a Stars or FT SN you can provide then right?" He never Pm'd back, I ran errands for day, and forgot about him.

Was going to post that I was suspicious of him, but since I am a relative noob on this P2P thread, I didn't want to accuse someone of wrongdoing without proof. Also, there was a post yesterday of someone being suspicious of someone and the Mod turned it around on THEM and said they were suspicious of them.....I figured it was a negative freeroll, and it could only make me look bad if I brought it up and was wrong about the guy and he had 100 people vouch for him on here. Wasn't negative freeroll though, cuz I feel terrible now I didn't save you from being scammed.

For future reference, is it proper etiquette to post doubts of someone based on suspicion alone? Sorry again.

Exactly same thing happened to me with LFI13. I am beattrice on Cake, he PM me making offer for my cake, I tell him to make PM post reply to my thread offer, so he did. He had nothing to make me comfortable to do trade. And for same reason as needdiaper$ stated there was post yesterday about whether someone else was trade worthy and moderator MH attacked him and made him the bad guy, so I also kept quiet. I am unfamiliar with all message board rules and likewise didnt want to get attacked or receive violation for trying to help.
Lastly after 4 PMs each, he declined to do trade by going first so I just let it go.

Confirmed these details. Gave an extra $20 than we first agreed because he wanted me to ship moneygram. Apparantly I couldn't since I am an American but living outside the US. Wire transfer went through today, would trade again, he shipped first.

Explanations by those in question and moderator edits can always correct any errors.

SwimStrong (Oct 2006) was admittedly careless in sending first to LFI13 (May28 2011) with 2 posts and no trades itt.

I haven't updated THIS SCAM LIST since April but 2 of every 3 scams in this thread are perpetrated by no-previous-trade scammers.


Things have changed considerably since bf but everyone's diligence and help in keeping this thread as safe as possible counts and is certainly welcome.

Please post your suspicions as long as you say they are only suspicions and there is questionable activity.

If you haven't posted in the thread recently, post your own SNs so it isn't mistaken for any sort of fake or malicious accusation.

OK, thanks for letting me know its OK to post mere suspicion. I still feel bad, it seemed kinda obvious this guy was scamming, brand new account, a bunch of meaningless posts to drive up post count, etc. (Basically the reasons that MH gave yesterday which prove he wasn't to harsh)

He did have a thread started specifically about him being a POS, but it looked like it was friends who were just goofing around with him, so I thought he might have more cred in the forum then I was thinking, was just about to look up post counts and join dates of people posting in that thread, but I was busy and it just seemed like too much work to do when I could be wrong and look stupid. (I wasn't going to trade with him anyway.)

Again, so sorry I let someone get scammed by this POS. I will be very dilligent and definitely post concerns next time if I have any suspicion whatsoever.
