Are you from Canada by any chance? If so, they are much faster there.
I cash-out the max from Cake every chance I get which is rendering me an avg. of 1.5-2 checks per week (their processing time is a joke, 3-5 days) at a 9k cap (also not cool), the fee is $35 (small in comparison to the check but ridiculous in comparison to other sites), and all the checks I've requested have taken 12+ days after the processing so min 15 days for a check. As opposed to regular mail by UB, never more than 5 days for me start to finish, and usually 3 biz days for the courier ones. The fee is flat too on cake, so if you are moving 2k or so.. let's face it that significant. Also the checks often get bounced to collections when u try to cash them because they use an obscure processor, that adds to the time and fees. Then of course there is the account verification process with passport, utility bill, etc. to even initiate the thing.
It really is a mess for most U.S. players unless you don't need the money soon and are very patient. QT is either by invite only or not for U.S. players.. can't remember which. I hear its a completely different story for non-U.S. though.
BTW not directed towards you at all Van Wilder (I'm pretty curious about others experiences, helps me figure out better ways to cycle money on and off), but there has been a lot of people commenting on other's fees.
This is ridiculous, let econ 101 take place here, there is a different set of variables behind every transaction.. a flat rate on trades would be grossly inefficient
