In case anyone is concerned that there are no further chances to qualify for the Irish Open once tonight's iPoker-wide ticket-only satellite is over, I'm happy to report that we're running our 'Last Chance Saloon' series of PPP-only qualifiers again. These were very popular last year, generating almost 20 seats. The feeders (mainly $30 + $3 rebuys and turbo rebuys) start tomorrow (April 3rd) and there will be four $300 + $20 freezeout grand finals at 8.30pm on April 5th - 8th. One Irish Open main event seat (€3,200 + €300) will be awarded for every $4,650 in the prizepool.

Any Irish Open-related questions, just let me know. Looking forward to see some of you next week!

Hi Paul,

wanted to create an account at PPP.
I'm a german living near Paris. I began to fill in the form with my personel details. When it came to my address, I can't choose "France" as my country of living, because it was not listed in the drop down menue, only some french oversea territories.
Could you please give it a closer look? Ty.

Just an update for those interested:

The Irish Open starts this Friday at 2pm and you can catch all the action here: http://www.paddypowerpoker.com/blog/

We should have a live web stream up-and-running for the four days of the Irish Open, accessible via the blog.

We're also running a bounty tournament tonight at 8.15pm with Tony G and our sponsored pro Ciaran 'Big C' O'Leary - should be a bit of fun

Rica,

from various posts on the Irish poker forum.

Yes to paying cash on the day.

Registration due to close at 1PM.

The PPP boss has the under on 615 for numbers, so probably 500-600.

Hi Atheism,

Our other players don't seem to have had the same problem; could you tell me if this resolved itself for you? If not, I will contact our support staff to look into it.

Thanks,
Paul

Also, to celebrate a very successful Irish Open, we're offering players a special 100% reload bonus up to $500 - the code is:

RELOAD500

Activate by midnight on Wednesday, April 22nd and you'll have 30 days to release the bonus.

Paul I am getting a huge runaround with my cashout. Can you help this get processed.

CLiff notes.

-requested $1000 cashout via cheque
-canada banks dont accept your checks
-requested bank wire transfer for $1,300
-security requested ID docs and banking info, gave it to them and approved
-Confirmation email of bank wire transer processed
-days upon days later I email support asking where money is
-support replies "already sent you a check"
-support than cancels check and puts money back into my poker account
-ive requested a bank transfer 5 times now and I just keep getting the run around

I have all emails saved for proof of this. A little help would be nice

Also when they put my money back into my account some money is missing. I cashed out $1300 USD and you guys exchanged it into euros. When you put the Euro's back into my account that was converted into USD I lost moneyon the exchange rate or something.

You guys screwed my cashout and now u take money from me through the exchange rate of money that was already mine

my money was withdrawn awhile ago. Now when they screwed it up they put it back into my account. it went from euros to USD today. You guys are trying to tell me that the exchange rate is exactly the same as it was when I cashed out.

The support staff are telling me too bad. I surely do not think so. I expect my money lost through the exchange rate.

Just a quick one for those players who travelled to Dublin for the Irish Open; a big thank you to all who helped us raise money for Our Lady's Children's Hospital Crumlin this year, whether by playing the charity tournament on the Monday, taking part in the charity auction or donating the pre-function area. It all helped, and we raised €26,537.45 in total

Poker players can be extremely generous and we at PPP were thrilled to help out the hospital this way and proud of what was achieved. Pats on the back all round!

One more thing for any Irish or British 2+2ers:

The Irish Open TV coverage starts tonight at 11.30pm on TG4 in Ireland (and on May 17th on ITV4 in the UK):

TG4 promo

We haven't seen any of the footage so am looking forward to it!
