well ive known him for 2 yrs and only reg here based on his rec. so thats quite an assumption sir....you know there are reputable people who arent members of 2p2

more importantly my actual question: is there a search function on this site for banned members/screenames/that stuff?

There is a search function. Using it will show banned users, SNs, etc.

GDMP is definitely allowed in the transfer thread. Once you upload the reload pack onto your card though, there's not really much you can do with it. Many people selling funds will accept reload packs because they can upload the funds to their Paypal account. It's non-reversible this way, unlike paying with Paypal directly, therefore safe.

is paypal not allowed for that reason, or for other reasons? because if you send as gift it is not reversible. just wondering. I guess i may just have to get some cash off my card and pay the fee again... ugh.

Yeah, Paypal is against the rules because it is definitely reversible. It's very easy to charge back up to 90 days later, especially if done with a credit card. There have been lots of problems with people charge backing funds months after a deal was completed. It causes lots of unnecessary problems.

Paypal doesn't allow transactions that relate to gambling.

Transfers can be reversed, legitimately, for up to 45 days.

If you post in a gambling forum that you are trading poker site funds for Paypal, obviously it would be simple for a scammer to prove that gambling was in fact involved, whether or not the transfer was called a gift.

Hey fsu, you need to edit your post and include the screen names of you and the other trader or you will get an infraction. I know b/c I've already gotten one. Just giving heads up

Which is certainly allowable.
Just be careful when quoting a post that already has a quote - the previous quote will be dropped.

Sometimes we've considered enforcing a 'confimation format' where you fill in the blanks.
That still might be the way to go.

Trade confirmations are still not up to grade lately with the sites that use email addresses as the transfer points other than screen names.

Posting the emails has been done by a few (and then edited out by mods) but we still don't think public disclosures of private email addresses that are being used for financial purposes is a good thing.

Trusting the other trader when he tells you his screen name and then using that in the confirmation is quite common.

Be very aware that new posters and scammers can easily lie about the sn associated with the email they are giving you.

It is always best to ask for a sit down so EACH of you can verify that you are who you say you are.

Anyone who hesitates or refuses to do this quick safety check has to be questioned.

PM MH or RW any time

I suspect I am being scammed from a person who seems to have a good trade history in the thread. I have not heard from him since noon yesterday, and I see he was last online at 2:30 AM this morning. I would like to give him the benefit of the doubt based on his trade history, but I feel it's also my duty to prevent others from getting scammed by the same user during this time.

I am not sure what the proper course of action is here. Any guidance would be appreciated.

TwoPlusTwo user is Five*

Yesterday at 12:30 PM I sent $900 to his Lock (SpreadTheJAM) from my Lock (TheHornyRyno). I was told I would receive $700 via Bank of America.

He states he sent $700 via Bank of America at 12:43 PM, yesterday. At 12:53 PM yesterday, I told him I had still not received the money. He replied saying it's not always instantaneous and that it is still processing.

I sent him a message at 9:48 AM this morning that I had still not received the money. I have not received any word from him. His last 2+2 activity is at 2:30 AM this morning according to his profile.

I believe you were scammed. I bought $900 Lock from him yesterday for BoA. I had done previous deals with him before between 2-500 with no problem before. I have his lock email, and boa info (last name, zip code, account number) if you would like it. If you had posted that you were initiating this trade I would have seen that when I looked at his posts and not done the trade since that wouldn't have made sense (buying funds for one price and immediately selling that at a bit of a hit)...

Please PM me for more details as I'd like to get some more info before I plaster all his personal stuff on here.

You should probably contact Lock support immediately & it wouldn't hurt to email Shane also. I'd also PM Rainbow Warrior & also any 2+2 moderator who is currently online.

Good luck & I do truly hope its just some kinda glitch holding up the trade's completion.

Ive notified the security manager and held some accounts (there was lots of transfers in and out) to see if I can hold some funds until the security manager can investigate it properly.

did u do BOA acc or email xfer?
acc xfer is instant according to this so there should be no excuse for the delay if this was the method:

A few weeks ago I tried to send using the email addy option (you'll see it under the transfer tab). 48 hours later and the transfer had not been made (it showed as 'pending' from my side). The other guy made another deal and I was able to void the transfer with one click.

Despite that experience, I'm fairly happy with boa. GL trading.

In my experience, BoA email transfers are also instant as long as both parties are BoA customers and it isn't a BoA to Wells xfer. I have never had to wait for an email xfer, and I have done a lot of them.

I've had friends transfer me money in the past on a weekend and not received it until Monday morning. This is why I didn't suspect something until when I saw no money received this morning.

Shane, thank you for getting involved. Can you give any information (perhaps via PM if necessary) as to what actions possibly can be taken here?
