KantBStop'D (rickyboo on ACR) is a scammer. He previously had an account on herenamed BoeVahDuh. I attempted a trade with him last year. My .165 btc for his 100 in ACR. I sent first, he claimed he never received and was inevitably banned here on 2+2. It seems he has returned here under new name trying to buy Acr for his alleged BTC and now two new users have been ripped off in similar fashion. If you are one of those affected, please email ACR support as I have.

Update: Received the $400 back after getting in contact with him.

He actually said he was looking to trade for 2k but I said I can only do $300. I was being friendly and nice, think he saw it and took advantage of my gullable'ness and kindess?

He Saw a mark and took advantage of it.

Feel so stupid but glad the amount was small so it doesn't sting as much. Still feel sick and mostly stupid, angry at myself for getting hustled.

This isn't good to hear. Was in the process of trading my 888 for his "horse's" stars funds. I didn't feel comfortable sending the full amount first so I sent him $500 on 888. Haven't heard back from him in 30 hours and his "horse" hasn't sent anything on stars to me. He said his "horse's" screen name was jb1873

i can not do it that way buddy since i hold responsibility for the funds once they hit my account but once he send the funds for accountability of the company he made a profit chop even thou the company has not received any funds yet you probably understand that.

Do You know LuckyLuke he is also a Mtt player/coach very famous ? he could vouch me if you know him since you are Mtt related i assume.

Was keen to get funds off 888 and wasn't able to for a couple weeks so I took a chance and sent first to him. Didn't feel comfortable sending 2k all at once so I asked if he was fine doing it in four increments.

Amazon tells me they can refund the $100 if I file a transaction dispute form with the bank used to purchase the GC code. That has been completed and I'll update again once the funds are (hopefully) returned to my Amazon account.

You have not followed the rules. You must follow the Rules in the OP of the dedicated Transfers thread if you wish to attempt a p2p trade.

As you have posted this, you have shown that you are naive and new, and you will now be the #1 target for the scammers that prey on such people. I would recommend you treat any replies that you receive as coming from scammers, as the trusted traders do follow the simple rules and procedures to reduce the chance of scams to a minimum, (but not zero). Also break the total transfer amount into smaller parts - into amounts you can afford to lose. Usually, a scammer will only steal the first part you send him, (but not always).

Search both names here in the thread. After I sent them the screen, they didn't answer me anymore so pretty obvious.

there are scammers who impersonate well-known 2+2 posters/traders. those are two of the personas/skype names that they use ^

i would guess that those skype accounts added luxpoker on skype after luxpoker made a post in a trading thread here on 2p2.

its been sorted, he got in contact with me about 20 mins ago. What happened was he told someone else to send me money while he was traveling and thought everything was kosher. but that someone never sent me the money.

I traded my $1620 ACR for $1500 on Party. I sent him the money on ACR and he said he'd received but it's a few days later now and I haven't received my funds. Is this standard practice?

As it's only been a few days perhaps he deserves the benefit of the doubt but I'd be careful about trading with this player for the time being.

I am also waiting on BongFellow to make good on his end of a trade, my $3k btc for his $3060 Stars. I was starting to have a bad feeling but as it hasn't been long, I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. I'm still holding out hope, but I've seen too many cases here where people could've saved others from issues to not speak up.

We go back and forth a couple PMs, agree to terms, he sends this at 08-22-2017, 04:25 PM:
The "whatever rate at the time is easiest" smelled a little funny to me, and the "it'll be a few hours" not being mentioned until then wasn't great, but I proceeded.

7 hours later, after no word, I PMed him at 08-22-2017, 11:17 PM:

He responded a few hours later at 02:15 AM:
He responded to another inconsequential PM within about a half hour, then I didn't hear anything from him today. I PMed him at 7:42pst:
7+ hours later, no word and no Stars transfer.

The btc address I sent to per his instructions has been emptied to a couple other addresses. Again, I hope his story is legitimate and the delay without communication is just poor trade etiquette, the funds are on the way, and we can delete all this and chalk it up to a misunderstanding. I was planning to post tomorrow if I hadn't heard anything, but given that there's another data point that doesn't look good I'm posting now. I've learned a few things following Admo over the years - let's just say I don't go quietly in these situations and intend to fully pursue it if it isn't made right very quickly.
