I was scammed for a lot lesser amount (100) and it was a huge pain in the ass and i never did end up getting my money back but the other players account was banned at the least saving anyone else from getting scammed by it.
LOCK won't do crap. There are exceptions... but they really couldn't care less.

Potential scammer warning. Initiated this trade with Gosbgosbgo. I sent $230 to his netspend waiting on $245 True poker. Was very quick to respond to PM's up until my netspend transfer but has not replied to any PM's after nor have the True funds been recieved. It has been 3 hours since I have last heard from him.

is there any rule against buying/selling pending cashouts on the Lock marketplace?

for example, if someone had a 12 week cashout, it should be worth considerably more than the going rate on Lock transfers. the seller could then wire money when the cashout is processed.

of course, it would require a high level of trust for the buyer, but wondering if that sort of thing has been thought of and/or done before.

I'd say no, because the funds aren't accessible.

If your doing this your going with a high level trust for buyer wouldn't you be dealing with people you only know? Or people that have been reffered to you, and if so then just keep your deal offsite or via pm.

i'd doubt the site is legit. regardless, there are plenty of people here to trade with. some of us have good reputations and offer good rates. best case scenario is that you find the same thing on some other site.

is there anyway we can inform people about vanilla reloads as a alternative for people who can't find netspend reload packs.

For people who don't know you can use a vanilla reload pack to put money into your account and there is no wait time like there is when you use a netspend reload pack.

Oh forgot to mention to do it with vanilla reload you have to use their website vanillareload.com instead of using your online netspend account. But it goes in right away and then just refresh your netspend account and the money will be there.

I sent dudmaster $375 for GDMP of $110. I sent him money upfront. He gave me GDMP numbers that were invalid so far.

I sent the soxman101 GDMP code for 110 after he sent me 375 Lock. After he said the GDMP code was invalid I tried it myself and my GDMP account recognized the code and the correct amount. After he said the code was still no good I tried it again and got he message that the code has already been used.

If anyone has any ideas about what could be going on here I would like to know.

Either he is incompetent and doesn't know how to load a GDMP, or you are full of s***.

Those are the only two options.

to be fair, isn't a third option that the other party could be up to something?

Thanks for your reply. All I know is I paid for the GDMP the code was good and now it's not. Is there any way to trace where the code was loaded. Anyone have any experience here?

call the customer support phone number on the back of the card.

seriously, do you look both ways before you cross the street?

you're probably the kind of person that when you call that customer support phone number, you'll explain your whole little situation to the representative including the fact that it was for an Internet poker transaction with someone you don't know personally met on an Internet message board.

Honestly I just checked to see how much the balance was, by going here: https://www.moneypak.com/Partner/Reload.aspx
typing in the numbers, and it kept saying, from the first time I received the code:

Invalid account number.
Please check the number and try again.

call the GDMP number on the back, explain your situation of how it says invalid, you did check it, but you never cashed it, they will then ask where you bought it, what the number is etc.

It should be rather painless, I have scratched them before where a number was partially missing, and they have helped me out and added my funds within 10 min.

YEs they said all they can tell me if that is has been consumed. Our next option is to open a fraud case with them. soxman I would be happy to work with you on this - they will need the info on the card you tried to load it to. I'll be happy to provide the original card and receipts from where it was purchased.

FWIW a few months back I attempted a trade with thesoxman101 - my lock for his GDMP. He sent me the GDMP code first, I attempted to redeem it several times all unsuccesful. He was in PM with me during this process, I kept asking him to make sure the code was correct etc. He kept reassuring me the code was good and the numbers were right. After an hour or so of back n forth with him he stopped responding to any PM's from me.

I messaged this to RW as a possible scam, but no hard evidence, in my mind it was 100% a scam attempt (having done many GDMP trades). No action was ever taken however, maybe this can help you make a better decision on moving forward with this case.
