hi,
what's the legal status on online poker in switzerland? I am considering a few job options there, and I might move there in the next 3 to 6 months, for a period of over 3 years...

It's legal and, at least in theory, taxed (unlike winnings in swiss casinos, which are tax free). You can play on every network. There are efforts by the government to regulate online poker but I doubt they'll make a lot of progress in the next three years.

What did Poker Stars tell you when you emailed them, and did you get any more answers when you emailed a second time 8 hours later on a Sunday?

Hey guys just want to ask one question
I'll go to Switzerland and be there 1-2 moths probally on vacation and visit some family, my question is will i be able to contitnue to play from there this1-2 moth time or not ?
If im able to play will be there some things that i would have to do and what are they ?
I know that the best thing will be to ask pokerstars support abt that but i will do that if i decide 100% that i will play poker on the vacation so i wont bother them until that happen.
Any opinion and experience is welcome

I just checked with Pokerstars support for you but they were sleeping and asked me not to bother them.

I'd like to return to poker after an extensive break but unfortunately it seems like almost no sites these days accept Swiss players due to regulations from the beginning of the year.

I'd be grateful if anybody who knows of any sites could reply.

GGPoker had been available for a while but it seems like they too closed their doors. So far I now only know of Winning and Unibet to still accept Swiss players, not sure about Unibet though.

One area you might want to look into is PPPoker. Because it is technically a play money platform you might have better luck there.

No more Unibet.

Winning should be possible. I hope you like bots and a lot of late regging hours.

Also saw a swiss person listed in a pokernews article on a FT, 888 sunday tourney. Wonder how that worked.

Hey guys, since I found this old topic I guess that I can write directly here. Since this July, Pokerstars is back in Switzerland and I've been playing there since then. However, the rakeback program is basically non-existent (I contacted the support and for some reason many options that are available outside Switzerland, like converting Star Coins to cash or even to tourney ticket) are not available. Instead, I can just buy some shitty merchandise.

Therefore I was wondering, do you all play on Stars or did you find some other good alternatives?

The alternative is Ipoker via Swiss Casinos

Hopefully GGpoker (and 888) enter the market soon.
