Online Poker In Hong Kong - Blocked? Online Poker In Hong Kong - Blocked?

Hey guys,

I'm on vacation in hong kong for a bit. I can't get onto titan, it says it is not allowed from my legal jurisdiction. So i fired up party poker, and for some reason I just get blank error boxes. Everest connects, but no games show up.

I know I've read that online poker in hong kong is illegal, but older posts on forum have claimed that they can log on just fine.

So does anyone know anything about this? Is anyone currently in Hong Kong able to play online poker?

i know all the gambling website is block
but if you have client install
you should be able to login and play at stars, ftp, ongame.
for party, everest, it's block in taiwan. and it's do so by the poker site not by government.
so it's more likely that party and everest block themself from hk as well.

Stars works for the many people in China who frequent the 1$ 2$ and up 7Card Stud tables. I think maybe 7stud is the only game the let them play over there lol.

i was just doing a bit of research into proxy servers today...can't u guys use those to bypass those filters?? has anyone tried this?

fwiw, i've tried playing FTP thru UltraSurf (a proxy program) at home and it works, but there was no way of telling whether a proxy would actually make a difference since my ISP has no blocks.

i'd imagine the other problem with using a proxy to log on to ur online poker accts would be that the poker site u play on may suspect shady activity (due to the changed IP address) and, worst case, shut down ur acct and/or confiscate funds.

Have been in Hong Kong and Macau for the last week.

Full Tilt is NOT blocked online.

Believe I put in several hundred hands from hotel bedroom broadband.
