Re: OMG FullTilt

I think you have a higher expectation clearing the $200 than playing in the FTOPS. (assuming your an average poker player).

but ya.... not very cool on the part of full tilt, I mean they make so m uch from the FTOPS its crazy. they make like 9$ off each player minimum. And alot of rake goes into the buy ins for the tournys through the satelites.

YOu really cant let a person have an advantage over your mess up?
Oh well, wat can you do. You werer freerolling and you wound up +$200 in bonus money.

Last summer I received almost 2000 ironman medals in one month (obv a mistake). I wasnt really aware at the time, but I bought ftp points with them and then purchased the 32GB ipod from the store. Its a bit unfair if other ppl had theirs recalled as i was allowed keep mine.
In most cases a site runs freerolls as an advertisement and to attract players to the site. In this case there was absolutely no benefit at all to the site. I have a much bigger problem with sites that cancel guaranteed tournies that don't get enough players than I do with what happened here.

If they settle the bets, you withdraw etc, then you're fine.

However all bookies run a "palpable error" rule, whereby a line that has clearly been set incorrectly can be voided at any time. You may get away with one now and again in obscure sports where the bookie has taken little handle and therefore the betting anomoly slips by, but in big sports/games this is very unlikely to happen. Make the bet, you are freerolling, but very unlikely to get paid.

Re: OMG FullTilt

Bobo you bring up some very thought out points I agree with, mainly the part about reputation which I believe is very true.

There's so much biased commentary that occurs here that's decided by a persons "reputation" made up almost entirely upon by their post count and join date.

Scrolling the 2p2 archived threads, there's a massive noticeable difference in the content put into each post by people. Everyone had their own ideas and knowledge, and more importantly, weren't bashing anyone and were being helpful to the main subject, instead of focusing in on names and reputation.

Now... look at the posts now in "Internet Poker". You have to aggressively search to find a post that doesn't have sarcastic replies, hateful replies, people spitefully posting just to bring up their post count with little to no knowledge on the subject. Each thread's replies goes like dominoes. If a well known poster or moderator says something, it will be respected, and each reply after that will fall towards their opinion and knowledge and not of their own, just to "fit in" and not be the black sheep.

It's come to a point where I can practically gauge what someone will say before they even submit it. I'm sure after people read this, there will be several replies, "Go somewhere else"- It's expected just by knowing the lacking intellectual ability of many posters here.

Anyways, I'm not bothered at all, I'm not generalizing, it's just practically the norm in Internet Poker. It's funny to me is all, but also sad for a forum with thousands of members to go to waste and not being used for all it can be just because people fear not being "liked" by someone across the world.

This is what we think. However, it has nothing to do with post count. It has everything to do with 95% of your posts but you can't seem to grasp this.

Re: OMG FullTilt

Anyone who has played as much as MrCasino had to have some expectation this could happen when he was playing these.
That's not saying anything bad about deciding to play them, just that this isn't a case of FTP distressing their customer like other issues.

We all understand FTP has some issues and support/quality control is one of them. This highlights that. But being butthurt about it just doesn't fly with me regardless of the poster. I'd say the same to Microbob- who has I think made it clear he'd say the same to himself.

The concept of "mistake" generally isn't one that we try to punish in every instance. Sometimes it's honest mistake, there are ways to clearly remedy it, and those ways are okay even if they lead to final outcomes worse than what someone would have liked initially.

Full Tilt surely wasn't trying to deceive players by offering these as a freeroll.
If the process can be undone without putting people in any worse condition than they were prior to playing these it's fine by me.
Players may choose to feel aggrieved but there's almost zero harm done by FTP's actions here.

One of the differences between this and the last time this happened was the previous ones could not be backtracked easily because the structure involved both an actual buyin (points) and wrong payouts (two seats instead of one for each sng) that affected in-game decisions, and many many more players/instances. The mistake that time on FTP's part actually changed player account balances starting with the buyins, and then again on the payouts, and they ran for hours and hours and undoubtedly involved much more player time.
There could be almost no fair way to adjust those. If there was- it would take a very large effort to come up with it and implement it.

One really cannot make the same argument here.

So your pretty pissed that someone make a mistake, you profited from it but then they took the profits back but your not bothered that they took too much money from you, stealing funds that was legitimately yours?

Bull****.

Re: OMG FullTilt

This thread is getting out of control. It is blatantly obvious that the email the OP provided is fake. As one of the other posters pointed out, the format of the email does not accurate to the one FTP uses.

Furthermore, I also benefited from these freerolls and contacted FTP before I used the T$ to ensure I would not be liable for them, which they confirmed I could.

FTP makes numerous errors, but this aint one of them, pretty sad for the OP to fabricate something like this...

2+2ers,

I just want to let you know that no action has been or is going to be taken on players who placed in the Sit & Go freerolls mentioned in this thread.

All players are free to keep their winnings and can use them as they wish.

MrCasino,

Feel free to respond to the fact that you said you moved all your money to Stars yet you are supposedly banned from Stars. I've noticed you haven't used your original Stars name in months, so what's the new name?

Eat your words. I was right. You and your friend Mr Casino can go on your private ferris wheel holding hands, while reading some Encyclopedia Brown or Hardy Boys books. Sounds like you need it.
