hate to drag up this thread and i know prepaid netspend works its just ive been hearing from a few people the cards are being declined now on stars anf ftp. anyone used a netspend depit lately. like past day or two?

I, too, am having problems with a debit card that always worked... same error message. I went out and bought a green dot prepaid visa, tried it today, and I got the same decline message. I haven't received the permanent card yet. I'm hoping that works.

Can anyone confirm they have used ANY prepaid visa in the US successfully within the past week, after the new VISA issues started?

I understand now that greendot didn't always work, tho I know folks who never had issues with it. I dont' want to go get another prepaid card if I can't confirm they have worked since this issue started. (approximately March 3)

I can confirm that the one I linked works, yes. There is also many other deposit options, but YES allaccessgift works.

Just to confirm, you have a US address on FTP, and you did this deposit after March 3rd, 2010?

Perhaps you should go another route though, like echecks or we$tern uni0n or having someone transfer for you or something. I don't want you to get the wrong card and then blame me. Many cards looks similar. There is a picture of the card I posted in the main thread.

You also should call FTP at 1-888-tilt-pay and get their advice. I emailed FTP and they gave me the green light

In the past the temporary card wouldn't work, I would have to wait until the permanent card arrived before depositing.

No other card besides the allaccess or (netspend) will work unless the site is using a third party processor. The two above work either way.

When the site is using a third party processor almost any card will work, even including your bank's debit card.

Dude - I appreciate the assistance, but there is no need for the tude. I needed to be 100% sure that you deposited after the 3rd, as it wasn't completely apparent from your reply, hence "just to confirm."

The other options are not options for me, which is why I wanted to be sure.

* E-checks - Had major issues with this before on tilt.
* Western Union - Min deposit is $200. That's too steep for my budget right now.
* I already talked to FT support on the phone. THey were no help.


Also, I'm not in the habit of blaming others for anything, and I'm not a dude.

Ok, sorry, I'm frustrated as well. Especially after I confirmed it. I've been typing similar responses in numerous threads today trying to help people.

the threads should all just be merged in my opinion. I think I might let a moderator know. There are MUCH more informative threads already going then this one.
The allaccess have always worked, and I see you are new here and may not have known that or seen the other threads. I'm sorry if I came off with a "tude" when I confirmed it for the second time.

Thanks very much. I can appreciate your frustration. I think we're all frustrated for different reasons. I believe the reason for all the new posts is the timng of things. Since Visa just started blocking the transactions, many cards that always worked now don't. However, your explanation of the processors makes perfect sense.

Is the Instant eChecks deposit method working for anyone? It's not working for me for some reason. It went through fine for Stars a couple months ago...

Is Netspend's website broken? when I try to log in I get a "There was a problem with your account" error. When I click "Forgot password?" it says my username was not found in the system, even though I am sure this is my username (I have the welcome email from Netspend right in front of me). And when I click "Forgot username?" I again get the message "There was a problem with your account" before it even asks me to enter an email or any identifying information. Does anyone else have the same problem? I got my card back in Jan 09 and loaded it once with no problems.

I just logged into my Netspend account and it worked fine.

Yes. Yes. Yes. Netspend has a;ways worked, and worked yesturday.

The only reason green dot may ever work is if the site is using a third party processor, in that case almost any card will work, even your debit card from your local bank.

I'm not sure why we always get the same questions. Netspend has ALWAYS worked, period. If for some reason someone is worried then you are welcome to load my netspend card and I will deposit for you.

This is mostly a problem because we have tons of these little threads and they should all be moved to the big prepaid card thread.

WOW, just noticed I basically got in an argument on the previous page because someone wanted the same thing confirmed. What's the deal here guys? Netspend has always worked, go get one please. You know, then play poker. Poker, you know, play poker
