i sympathize and i appreciate knowing that there are still withdrawal problems at pic-club. i withdrew the balance of my pic-club funds to ppn as soon as I saw your post. I plan to withdraw some of my ppn winnings via western union in the near future. I will post my withdrawal results.

Gio- havn't played on here in a few weeks and played the "big sunday" rebuy tourny. Again I wasn't able to rebuy/add-on when others were able to. I tried to restart the client several times with still no luck. If everyone can't do that maybe its time to get rid of the rebuys until the software programmer can figure it out?

Sorry for your difficulty. Usually restarting the game client works, at least temporarily. We dropped all the other guarantee tourneys until we can get them working perfectly for everyone. The Sunday tourney is the most popular. Please check out the revised tourneys under the “scheduled tab”; none of them are rebuys.

Then it should prob be a sign to drop that one too until you can get them ALL working perfectly for EVERYONE.

i miss all the rebuy tourneys though and can only think of one time in the last few months when it affected me other than maybe missing a hand while i restarted. in that case i tested the rebuy button when deciding whether to call all in, it didn't work so i didn't call. it was ok after i restarted. however, there is no excuse not to have them work perfectly for everyone all the time .sorry u didn't get your rebuy, that sux.

I dunno why PPN doesn't get rid of that weekly 100 bucks freeroll. Players who win there never play cashgames and they also cant cash out, cause they rake nothing.

Instead give the next 100 sign ups a free 20 bucks. Same for PPN, cause this players also cant cash out without play through requirements.

Would bring at least some traffic, just my 2 c.

Re: *** Official Poker Pros Network Support and Promotions Thread ***

Can someone, with actual experience at PPN, tell me approximately how long it would take to clear, let's say, $100 in freeroll winnings when:

1. One has maybe 2 hours a day max for 3 days a week to devote to ring games [since tournament entry fees contribute nothing to clearing freeroll winnings and this is the only network I know that does that]
2. One is comfortable playing up to .10/.20 FLHE/FLO/FLO8
3. One is not a multitabler or won't do more than 2 tables max.

Basically, if the answer is no less than a year I've got better opportunities to invest my time elsewhere. . .

I remember I-Poker (NOIQ)
When you first sat at a table you got a 50% VIP points boost. I 16 tabled NL 100 back then, it was like printing money.
Quite some years ago, good ol days of poker.

No one has more experience than me at clearing bonus on ppn. at the 1:1 clearance rate anyone can clear the freeroll winnings pretty fast if you get action. In a nutshell, sit FL tables and know how the rake works.

i pretty much fit your parameters except i have more time than 2 hours a day to sit tables. If you got action for the entire 2 hours you could do it in 6 months, give or take a month or two. However, u have to sit tables to make it happen. if someone sees 2 players at a table then it might attract a few more. this isn't going to happen if you encounter a bunch of hit and runners. altho u might like the idea of a lose and runner but they don't help your situation either. for me the key is fixed limit games so no one shoots their wad in 5 minutes. FL omaha hilo is ideal because you are more likely to have your early bets called, but u will get more action at FLHE because many people don't even look at the omaha tables.

to clear bonus u have to generate rake so it is important to know when rake kicks in at the tables you play. at a 6 player FL table with no pre-flop raises, there will be no rake if your bet after the flop is not called. so, even if you have a good hand, wait until the turn to bet. 10 player tables have a higher rake rate. 2 player tables have the lowest rate.

u do have to tolerate more of the badly behaving players when u sit tables. chat blocks don't seem to stick from day to day. click the notes tab above the chat box as soon as you sit down, then you will never see any chat.

There you have it, you have no excuse not to try to clear your freeroll winnings.

Why not pick up some bonus while you are at it. Deposit at least $100 to pic club. i think the fee is about $10 to set up the account (if you only break even while clearing the freeroll winning you will need another $100 to meet the ppn $200 minimum for Western union withdrawal. transfer $10 every 2 months to ppn to get initial deposit and reload bonuses.

withdrawing from pic club directly has been a problem, it has been on a off and on basis at least. but that is not a big problem because your plan is to withdraw it to ppn then from ppn to you.

so, what are you waiting for?

Appreciate the information, Indy. Figured if there was anyone who'd be able to provide a ballpark figure it would be you and there's a bunch to consider there. Much obliged.

I will take a look at the cash tables when I can. Any time I've looked before they've either been empty at stakes I'm willing to play at or the 1 play sitting is above that level. Can try to start a table, but, honestly, if there's no action happening within 15 minutes I'm off to somewhere else. My time, especially during the work week, is pretty damn limited.

Personally, IDGARA about abusive chat. I can barely see the chat box as it is. And I believe I can give as good as they can.

what's your hurry? what do u have to lose continuing to sit the table? if u are off running an errand maybe the player will wait for u to come back. i've continued to sit a table while taking a nap and come back to find several people playing at the table. that's what u want. the more tables running the more likely it is that u will get action when u want it.

clearing ur bonus requires commitment and commitment requires patience. i took a fair amount of time answering your question in exacting detail, i feel like u are blowing me off when u say u will only wait 15 minutes. you now know what u have to do and how to do it. If u don't have the patience to sit at a tables for hours then maybe u should cut back on the meth lol

The hurry is that online poker is not the only thing I have going on in my life -- not that it's the only thing going on in yours either. But when I have other entertainment options -- or just some of those nasty real life chores -- that I can use to fill the maybe three free hours I have to myself during a day those're more likely to be what I gravitate towards than checking a table every 5, 10 or 15 minutes to see if anyone has shown up.

And I appreciate the care and effort and the wealth of information and advice that you put into your reply. I believe I said that in my original reply. You're not being blown off.

But some understanding that not everyone has the time to table sit the way you can would be appreciated. Poker is not paying my bills. Currently it sures looks like poker at PPN isn't going to. My job is. Guess which takes priority.

all i'm saying is sit and stay there even if u are off to work, bed, chores etc. If your computer is turned on then u should be sitting. what's wrong with that?

i'll sit too and it will look like there is a game and maybe someone who wants to play will come along and say hey there's a game and maybe play anyway if he goes to the table and sees one person sitting out. u will be helping me out because i have freeroll winnings to clear too.

it also gives the appearance of traffic. if u want action u don't want prospective players opening the site and seeing no one. that's why i often sit a holdem table when i would rather play omaha, because most people usually don't look under the omaha tab.

it only takes 10 seconds to open the site and have a seat. if you didnt' have 10 seconds to spare now and then you wouldn't be playing freerolls or posting on this forum.

i was referring to 0.10/0.20 tables btw. by rake rate i was referring to the percentage the house takes. many people don't know about this feature of ppn. it is the only poker site that has it as far as i know.

i didnt' play there, but yes that is the feature i was thinking of, thank you. i think it was absolute poker that did that also. i always wanted to start a table but there was always the same guy who was sitting at ALL the tables i wanted play. they need a solution for that.

i always take a free money to play offer, even if it is only $5. the problem for the house is they actually have to deposit that amount and hold it in an account if i'm not mistaken. most likely thing is the new player will lose the money and not deposit. the winning player cashes out that money so the house has to pay.

of course it would still be a good idea to offer the free money to play, but don't think it is free to the house to do so.

they used to have a house player who sat at NL tables but i haven't seen him in months. i have always been suspicious of house players, i may not have good reasons for it, i just am.

Ive actually sat and waited more than i care too.Especially since i have 7 other poker accts with graeter player pools.I just would really like to see another US option get on its feet.
And as far as site rewards for table starters,SealswithClubs (a bitcoin site) has a tables starter incentive in which it triples your Krill (their version of player points)And that gets many many tables started in all diff stakes and formats.

Thats in total 2 k bucks, peanuts if I'm willing to run a pokersite.
And until the winning players got all that money, there is also rake produced.

If there is at least some kind of traffic, maybe also players like me for example will deposit.

If things continue on as before PPN will never become a place where ppl play poker.

I agree. i would think that 2k is chump change for a tournament site owner. they put up more than that in promotions in the last six months, and double that in the six months before that. There is the wsop qualifier now so that is a step in the right direction.

As an existing player, I would like to see rake races, tourney points races and sng points races. there also needs to be reward for playing tourneys, unlike rake paid, you don't even get points to earn bonus or clear promotional winnings. House fees from tourneys should be treated just like rake.

I noticed there are no tourneys being offered now in Lounge Lizard, Maniac or No Tilt, so if you play there then transfer some money to PPN or RR for some tourney action. There are a lot more $1 to $3 tourneys now, i usually play a few almost every day.
