The new thread is not intended to offer support or official information on PPN. For example, there are at two threads I follow about Minted poker, a official thread and a "Where's my money?" thread. In the latter the players mostly vent their frustrations and exchange information they obtain from and about the site which has been noncommunicative with U.S. Let me be clear that I am no more concerned about my money on PPN than I would be on any other site, to the contrary in fact. That said, I don't see the difference. I did not intend to break forum rules. If i accidently broke the rules i will of course abide by their judgment.

Furthermore, without the significant involvement of an official Representative, this official support and promotions thread may as well be closed or the name changed to something more accurate.
Normally you may start a thread anytime you wish but they have made a different set of rules/guidelines for this area. I didn't know this was a rule until I started looking for information regarding employees of online sites posting in their company's thread without being vetted by mods. I'm all for everyone posting freely but there does need to be transparency. I'm also not sure you broke any rules, just that you might have. Unfortunately, sometimes you don't know a rule was broken until a moderator sends you a politely worded private message telling you so. I got several demerit points in my first few posts trying to do money transfers a couple of years ago. Thought I was going to get banned I was making so many errors. It isn't personal but they have to have some level of control over how things are posted.

Right now there seems to be a missing support person. Hopefully, that will be changed in the near future. However, based on the posting from ladyluk I am reasonably certain this thread is reviewed by insiders so with that in mind I again suggest you keep posting right here. All sites have problems/issues and I have no problem with the issues being made public. Good or bad, it keeps the PPN thread active which will cause more people to take a look at PPN as a site to play. This is in the best interest of all of us.

Last night on Skype we got to hear from Marcus, whom i believe is in charge of writing the code for the new web portal/site and he freely answered some questions about his area of expertise and the features that will be going into the new site. Also, some answers on upcoming features in the poker client.

Chuck Kidd also popped in and said hello.

DyslexicMonk and Linda/ladyluk were also posting.

Despite the flaws we are experiencing, these people are not sitting back and hiding, hoping we will go away. They are working hard and making every attempt to get things right for us. Yes, sometimes mistakes are made in the way things are handled. I don't believe this is intentional and I do believe they ultimately want to correct these lapses.

I know your feelings about it to this point but I will again suggest you get onto the PPN Skype group (and anyone else for that matter, players or watchers). For those PPN insiders, I also recommend you make an effort to get players onto the Skype group AND this thread. The more interaction you can create between players and personnel the more they will drive others/money to your site.

Don't forget to register for the $400 Guaranteed tournament today. Rebuys and an Add-on. $4.00 buy-in. Only 10 people registered at this point. Not huge but a big overlay for those of us on limited budgets. Starts at 4:00 p.m. or 16:00 Eastern US time.

To be perfectly honest we do respond as necessary in this thread and when I am able to post info I do. I have a life outside of PPN and this thread and even will take vacation.

I will say that I will ignore most people who vent about something as opposed to those that offer constructive input. No sense responding to the vents as it only will feed their fire to disagree and thus vent some more.

So vent away if that is what you want.. Just don't be surprised when I choose to ignore it. Start all the new threads you want.. 2+2 will deal with them as they see fit. I have no say so at 2+2.

Gio.

Can you comment on the software issues that members have reported in the last few pages and that didn't get any feedback by PPN in this thread so far?

and me!

Support has been lacking in this thread for awhile, if you are too busy for your customers than maybe someone else from PPN should post here?

What happens to additional prizes, e.g. if 20 players participate will a 2nd trip be awarded? There are no terms and conditions listed on the promotion page ...

PPNCEO is sitting at a $5.00 omaha 6 player table. Putting him out gets a spot in the monthly $500 bounty freeroll.

To be honest, responding here isn't just when you feel it is necessary. It should be in a reasonable and timely fashion whenever there is a question, issue, problem, or promotion going on. PROMOTING PPN should be the reason. If you don't enjoy it here then ask someone else to give it a shot. Some people like forums, some don't.

I find it unfortunate that you think this is just venting. Most of these are quite real issues to us. Rather than choosing to ignore us, why not try to find a constructive method to create a dialogue with the public, i.e., anyone reading this forum? We may not always be happy campers but no one is here trolling PPN or its employees. We want more players going to PPN and we want PPN to be better.

No one thinks you need to be here 24/7/365, but considering this is an extremely inexpensive method to get your message out to POKER PLAYERS, someone should make an appearance daily. I think if you subscribe to this thread you can get immediate updates or even daily updates and share them via email with the proper people.

Yesterday, someone using the same name of someone who works for PPN pretty much told Indy to go play somewhere else. Now you kind of give us the impression that you don't care either. We understand that everyone is stressed and overworked, things haven't been going as smoothly as hoped. Just don't dismiss us out of hand.

We may also have differing views on what is venting and what is constructive criticism. Would you kindly give us post numbers of what you consider venting and which ones are constructive so we know where we need to go in the future? Not saying we will get it right but at least we might know what you want to see.

just stopped in to see what this network was about and the the last couple posters got punked out by support...your business relies on us in every aspect..hope ppn likes having 13 players at peak time. will not play here and will tell my other friends looking for a poker home this is not a viable option.

Ouch! those posts have got to sting. I wonder how many posters would vote to replace Gio. They don't need to have great grammar or spelling, although it wouldn't hurt if they know how to cut and paste from a program with a spell checker to look professional. They just need to be polite, follow up and act like they care about the players’ concerns.

Re: *** Official Poker Pros Network Support and Promotions Thread ***

Here are some guidelines I think a Rep should follow:
1. Post daily to establish a presence. If there is no activity to respond to you can promote something. Example: "Check out the new Meet the Boss3 freeroll holdem tourney starting at 18:00 today." or "Congrats to DocMicro for winning the Independence Day Freedom 400."
2. Acknowledge any sincere criticism or praise. Do not respond with an angry or dismissive tone, no matter how angry, deluded or pretentious the post is. Thank the poster for their input.
3. Play the games. It is hard to empathize if you do not share the players’ experiences.
4. Admit all mistakes and correct all your misstatements, even if they are not your fault. Do not be defensive. Do not wait until you think you have a fix for the problem. If people wanted to wait until the next business day or two for a response they would contact email support.

Yeah, this is kinda BS. No one is asking you not to have a life or even not take a vacation. Go ahead and take a six month vacation for all I care. But at least let us know beforehand that you're not gonna be responding for the next X number of days, weeks or whatever, especially since you're software is still working out the kinks and you KNOW there are going to be legitimate questions and issues. Don't just leave us twisting in the wind.

Or better yet, if you can afford to, have another rep chime in in this thread when you are not able to. I'm not abandoning your room at this point, but the players, especially for a new network like yours, is what your business is going to succeed or fail on. If you're attitude towards them is "GOD I HAVE A LIFE YOU KNOW, JEEZ LEAVE ME ALONE ALREADY," that's not an optimal customer service model, and I think you've already seen a little damage ITT because of it.

Can you tell us more about this part? Would we be entered into a tourney in Costa Rica or just given the opportunity to play in a casino?

Re: The Unofficial Poker Pros Network Players Input and Venting Forum Thread.

Daily Dissatisfaction Report

No one uses the PPN chat room anymore. I joined skype and was added to the Poker Pros group. There are 23 members of the group. The group rounded up enough for a sng today. The six player “double up” sng tourney window said it paid 2 places, when I re-opened the window it showed 3 places paid, It did pay 3 places.

The first Meet the Boss3 Freeroll did not run because there were not enough (10) players. I sat at a Beat the Boss sng hoping Chuck would join, instead genneus joined and I won 50 cents. Maybe he thought i was the boss. I don't expect the win to qualify me but couldn't tell be cause the Beat the Staff event is not posted to let me see if i was registered.

The $100 freeroll had 35 players, I clicked on the last hand history, although it has been months since it worked right in holdem. The “poker browser” window appeared on my taskbar but I could not access it. This is a frequent occurrence when the client has been open a long time and there are several other windows open, in this case 5 other windows.

I noticed 3 people at a .05/.10 holdem table and 1 person at a .05/.10 PL omaha hilo table today. i've been in the room at least 10 hours today. At the moment there is no one sitting at a cash game, sng or registered for any other event. i can usually scrounge up some play at a FL omaha or holem table but i've pretty much quit playing cash games until the rake races are re-instated.

there are links at the top of that page which probably answer some of your questions. It answered many of my questions about the leaderboard events to come. Actually the pages are quite well done - very professional looking.

I'm doing a Daily Dissatisfaction Report in the unofficial thread, assuming I can find something new to complain about each day. I might run out of topics in a month or so but i doubt it. Without support feedback i might as well be talking to myself, which appears to be the case since no one has posted there.

Actually there are some good reasons to play at PPN but screw it, I don't feel like promoting the site anymore at the moment other than to compliment the players. Many of the players are friendly. All but a few are well behaved. Most don't bother chatting at the table, which is fine with me anyway, because the chat box is hard to follow. I have only encountered a few people who are intentionally obnoxious or infantile, a common occurrence on cake and far too many other sites. I rarely use the mute function on PPN.

So when you join Skype how do you get added to PPN?? Id like to know when you guys are trying to get a game going. It gets old sitting at sit and gos and tourneys and never playing.
Although they are not many playing, i do like the tournament schedule now. Lots of different types and buy ins.
Anybody dislike the rebuy tourneys? Id like to see some gtd tourneys that are not rebuy tourneys even if its a small amount.
Ive also encountered the no cards glitch a couple of times the last few tourneys i played.
Indy, there are a few out there reading and listening. I think they are just tired of all the bs and the empty room.

explain why i should play on ppn. when reading the playthrough requirements, making a deposit would be a joke. only 3 players at a .05/.10 table, getting enough rake at that table to cashout 200 hundred dollars could take a lifetime.

I can take it or leave it as to rebuy tourneys. We would all love to see guaranteed freezeout tourneys because we would know if we are getting an overlay in advance. That would mean PPN paying out of their pocket which of course a game room wants to avoid.

I have played many rebuy tourneys and i would estimate that they take in about 3 times the amount of the entry fee (i have never seen any statistics on this, so this is not a scientific analysis). so, minimum 10 players times 3 is $30, hence no overlay.

There was an overlay in the $400 guarantee last week. Unlike most sites, the tourney window does not show how many rebuys and add ons there were so we do not know how big the overlay was.

We are not likely to see many guaranteed freezeout tourneys because they would lose money

thanks for being the first to post to this thread besides me. It is nice to know someone else may be reading it

You will find a post from GioCanHelp in the official thread about the prediction of a drastic increase in traffic.

I was the rake race leader last month, when they had a rake race. I paid $37 in rake last month if that helps you do the math. Can’t you do a smaller initial deposit, like $50 for example? They do offer an ongoing reload that equals a 20% rakeback. Beyond that you should look to the TOS and support for answers, for example, incremental payments of bonus
