Still having trouble with the table appearance. The AWAY signs seemed to be working today though.

While in a hand, the FOLD, CHECK, RAISE buttons (or however they read) pop up on the table at about the 1 o'clock position. Sometimes it is just the FOLD button. These are the buttons that are normally down in the lower right box. Once people start going out, little markers get left behind in their spots. Little vertical and horizontal lines. This doesn't affect game play but looks bad.

The chat box is still horrible. It is nearly impossible to attempt a conversation with anyone as it scrolls off the screen almost immediately and the font is way too small for most to read easily.

PPN is great for everything offered to players but unless the cosmetic and functional issues are fixed it will be hard to attract more.

Could we get a weekly/monthly email listing details of the leader boards, games that will be played, players that have won their way in, and date/time of the games?

I, for one, had no idea there was a leader board until reading here.

So this morning I finally got motivated enough to take screen shots of the problems I am seeing. During the first table, which can be seen in the first two photos, I asked if anyone could see my avatar and chips count. Although I could not see mine or the two just before me, others could.

This is definitely a problem.

Notice in the next two photos the action buttons moved up onto the table.
Finally in this third photo I can see who the two players before me were, as well as see my avatar and chips count.

Notice the tiny vertical line and two tiny horizontal lines left as a marker after the player in UTG is gone. These remain until the table is closed.

In this photo the lines are at the cutoff position and between the dealer button and small blind. Marking whomever was knocked out.

The last two are just shots showing the AWAY sign working perfectly before the hand. However, after the position folds, the sign goes away. It would be nice if they were left in place.

Most of this is just cosmetic but the first problem definitely affected my game play. Without knowing who is sitting around me, how many chips they have, and how many chips I have, I can't make the proper decisions. And just because some of the issues I have shown are simply cosmetic, these things have an impact on having faith in a poker room. Things are going to go wrong, things are going to break, but with the problems encountered in the online poker world it makes sense to make the software as trustworthy as possible. At this time it is not.

Tonight, in the Sunday freeroll, I had no problems. The newest update seemed to work very well. The only thing I noticed was a brief flashing of the table at certain times. Didn't really pay attention to what it related with, maybe each time a hand was dealt. Otherwise, the game was perfectly smooth and enjoyable.

We are constantly working on giving you the best poker experience possible. Thanks for the screen shots it helped us to track this issue down to a server side problem that was driving our software team crazy.

Keep up the positive input it is most welcome.

Now I know what the flashing is that I was seeing. As each hand is folded, there is a card back flashed in the 11 o'clock position at the table. I saw it at my table and at another open table in today's freeroll. So it wasn't because I was sitting at the table.

Doesn't appear to be an issue as it is only the back of a card, in the same size as the face down cards at each position.

I've just started wearing glasses and as I am still trying to acclimate my eyes to my field of vision, I thought the flashing was me.

The hand history problem in holdem games is still not fixed. There are 2 different ways to access the history and you get different results depending on which one is used, the menu access method and the table link access.

The menu access option is at Game/Statistics/Hand History. This option is now functional most of the time: it does not show me my folded cards when other players show down; sometimes the last 10 hands list does not refresh unless you leave the game client. movement between hands is awkward. This list is virtually useless to use on the fly. It is a nice idea but i would rarely use it even if it fuctioned flawlessly.

The table link access method of viewing the last hand is at the top of the table window. It does not show anyone's hole cards under any circumstances.

Omaha table access last hand view does work adequately.

My eyes are going too. I wish you could variably adjust the game window size or at least full screen it.

most of the information is on the website. go to the promotions page then click on the word "leaderboard". Recently they have been emailing notice of qualification for the weekly rake leaderboard playoff. The daily changes in points is posted aeach day after midnight. They do not provide an ongoing tally for that weeks leaderboard.

The page no longer shows the monthly $100 seeded heads up playoff, no doubt due to a glitch in the running of it. When they attempted to run it for the april race Skunkybud and I, the only live players to advance the first round before the glitch occurred, are still waiting to see if we will play/get paid. That event was cancelled for the May leaderboard and they just paid $15 to each player.

Ive mentioned this before, but when im playing a cash game and a tourney(either sit and go or scheduled) starts to open, my whole client shuts down. Is anyone else experiencing this? Gio? Ive reinstalled the client many times and was hoping the latest update would fix this but it happened to me twice yesterday. Thanks for any help or advice.

The window size is mostly okay for me but I prefer them a little bit larger. I would prefer the table to be a little smaller so the chat box can be enlarged. The glasses are helping a lot but it is a tough adjustment because I can't just move my eyes now, I have to move my head just a tad as I scan around the table.

I've had this happen several times but haven't had an open table for the last couple of days. Tonight, I will open a cash table before the freeroll starts.

congrats to the winner of the monthly $250 winner take all of the tourney leaderboard top 10 players. I think blondebomber won, i'm not sure. It is too bad that this promotion no longer appears on the leaderboard page, although for some reason the standings are still up.

Hey gio. are you allowed to announce these things here or on the promotions (bonus) thread? A little cheerleading wouldn't hurt. Hip, hip, houray!!

I do want to thank PPN for this promotion, even though i never won anything in the events. I would rather see the money spread over part of the field so that lame players like me have a chance to pick up a few bucks.

so here it is less than three and a half hours until the weekly rake leaders playoff start and, while the events are posted, the participants are not registered. Unlike last week, i did not receive an email notifiying me that i was participating. This may be because there records do not show me as being in the top 3 (which my records show i am)-- It wouldn't be the first time they calculated the points incorrectly. Since they wait so long to get this done i don't have the opportunity to question the PPN official standings in time to play the event.

A recent email from customer servie stated: "Congratulations. You are among the 16 top Rakers for the month of May. We are currently reformatting and reprogramming our Monthly Top 16 Winner-Take-All Tournament, which has made it unavailable to run for this month."

I now have a modicum of hope that this event may return in the future. However, considering the slow pace at which PPN glitches are being fixed, i'm not holding my breath.

For the first 8 days of the month there were 2 promotions for the tourney leaderboard, distinct from the rakers leaderboard, which no longer appear at the promotions/leaderboard page. I commented on this previously, noting that it seems to operate primarily as an additional reward for those who had already won money in freerolls. I was hoping that we might hear from Gio what the PPN perspective on this is by now. Again, i'm not holding my breath.

anyone ever notice this on the promotions/leaderboard page?

"Each time the PPNCEO wins a headsup match he will add money to the pot. 1st Place will add 10.00 2nd place will add 5.00 and 3rd place will add 2.00. Once the pot is won by a player the next week will revert back to the original pot starting value."

In the 8 weeks at least this promotion has been running, PPNCEO has won several times but none of money has been carried over. what's up with that?

I didn't even know there was a leader board until you and skunkybud brought it up and even then I didn't pay much attention until I saw I was
on the tournament board and needed to hit a 2nd place finish in the last two days of May to finish in the top 10. Now when I am paying attention and trying to stay in the top group it goes away. They really need to make sure all players are made aware of this feature if and when it returns. I'm not really a big fan of the winner take all format and didn't really understand the rationale behind this for a $250 prize.

This is a great promotion for the cash game players. Again, I haven't been paying attention so I have no idea whether or not they have been adding money.

you can't expect anyone to believe such serious accusations when you have so few posts and cannot post the pics yourself. One might suspect that you work for a competitor -- oops, what am i thinking -- what kind of nut would be afraid of competition from PPN?

Lets see the proof. Simply put up or shut up. I play(well, try to play) on PPN and would like to see what you are calling proof.

i actually sent an email asking for the pics but all i got was one pic which didn't show anything but some irrelevant chat.

the only specifice accusation was something about chip dumping. if i am not a third player on a chip dumping table i don't see why i should care. If they are dumping chips why wouldn't they be on a heads up table? the only concern i see with chip dumping is about money laundering, which i view as the site's concern, not mine, unless it results in being beat out of a rake race.

i don't think her post deserves any more attention and it is just as well that it was deleted. it belongs in the rigged thread, if anywhere, with all the other silly baseless posts (i'm just assuming, i've never read the thread).

although PPN has plenty of screwups there are only 3 things i have noticed which could arguably be considered the least bit improper: one is the accuracy of their rake points counts compared to the daily leaderboard list a record keeping disparity; the other is the distribution of the prize from a malfunctioning promotion event, which can objectively viewed differently by reasonable people -no big deal. the third is the existence of a house player, which i do not like but which is not necessarily improper.

It is possible that what she saw is the house player making weird or illogical plays. If the house player is not playing with his own money then don't be surprised if he makes unusual plays. this often looks suspicious. What i don't like about the house player is that i figure if anyone has the ability to cheat it would be him.
