That site has absolutely no chance in hell of getting anywhere. The software is horrendous with tacky graphics, the layout is to say the least horrific, and the website could have been put together by a 3 year old. Its honestly one of the worst attempts at a poker site I've ever seen.

The only saving grace is they run a few freerolls. Actually thats not really a saving grace because the software is so poor, I think they'd actually have to pay me to use it.

Ugly graphics, flawed software, no discernible cash game traffic? all true. It actually stopped operating a couple of years ago and i didn't notice because i had lost interest. when it started up again more than a year ago they sent me an email saying they were in business again and my $167 was still there. even though there are no longer any promotions worth mentioning other than the freerolls I feel that my money is as safe there as on any site. perhaps safer because i cannot imagine the DOJ noticing let alone bothering with such a small site.

Since it is unimaginable that they could have turned a profit with so little traffic, it seems that the only thing that keeps it running is Chuck Kidd's resolve to offer a low rake alternative for american players. I'm hoping it is still here when the others have cut and run.

i play micro stakes only and i have withdrawn more than $1000 from PPN over the last year without making additional deposits so i feel like i have nothing to lose by hanging around.

If i bother to start a table i almost always get a little action. I just haven't bothered much lately.

as a micro stakes player i do not see any other sites that care about my business enough to offer the kind of promotions that they did years ago. Until they do i'll hang around for the easy to beat freerolls, low rake, 35% rakeback, and yes, the seemingly empty promises and ugly game client.

i play at least 5 tourneys a week at ppn. I actually prefer tournaments with less than 50 players. don't u hate playing a tourney for over 3 hours and not even making the bubble? Never happens at ppn lol.

Sorry this is a no no, and if my suspicions are correct about having seen similar sites like this before, then don't hold your breathe about getting any traffic on there. I fail to see how they manage to get 12 players...

While I have had my issues with PPN, I've never worried that they weren't on the up and up. I signed up after I heard the founder/owner being interviewed on QuadJacks some time back. He is very straightforward and I believe him to be completely trustworthy.

Yes, the present software is quirky and clunky. The new software client may or may not be better although I expect it to be improved. The traffic is extremely low since they left Cake and tried to go it alone. What isn't debatable is the owner's commitment to offering a home for poker players.
PPN has a Skype group and he can often be found there.

PPN isn't growing as quickly as we had all hoped but there isn't any reason to compare it to many of the fly-by-night rooms that have opened and closed in the last few years.

Well, if they offer freerolls I guess it wouldn't hurt for me to check it out for myself at some point. I've been thinking about playing more tournaments and less cash games. I probably won't have time to sign up for a few weeks though. Thanks for the follow ups. It's good to here both sides (those for and those against PPN).

They have a great freeroll on Sunday night for $100. Usually pulls 40-50 people and starts with 2500 chips I think. They have cut back on their freeroll offerings in the past few months and this is the only one I have played lately. The good tournaments have been low buy-in/rebuy add-on games. The Sunday night game is pretty decent with a $2.50 buy-in and $2.00 rebuys/add-ons. The times I have played it has been either one full table or two 6-7 player tables. Neither game takes too long, 2-3 hours typically.

Please note that rake standings no longer appear at Promotions/Network Stuff/Table Games/Rake Race since there is no current rake race promotion. If you want to monitor weekly (as well as monthly) rake standings to determine if the required 25 raking players threshold has been met you can do so at Promotions/Network Stuff/Table Games/Rake Stats.

There are 10 players so far this week with raked hands. 15 more players are required before the weekly $25 Raked Hand Leaderboard will run on January 30, 2013

Thanks Gio, I just started playing on this network and wanted to give my review.

I signed up for RoundersRow.eu

Depositing seems very easy, I love the fact RoundersRow offers deposit options with Western Union.

Site graphics are very simple, I like the fact they offer good free rolls, with not a lot of people on the network it seems like a great place to win easy money in these free rolls.

A few things that could be improved on...

After winning a hand the software gives you the option to show or muck your hand, unfortuantely the option goes away after a micro second so you can never press the button to show your hand if you wanted too.

Also after the flop you are not able to see what you folded, this would be a great improvement if you guys could add this option.

Network just needs to be promoted better, this place is great for players from the United States, maybe offer rakeback options for US players now that Carbon is not giving rakeback anymore.

Looking forward to seeing you guys at the tables.

Welcome to RoundersRow and the PPN family of poker rooms. Welcome also to 2+2 forum. Thank you for your review.

I have only noticed the short muck/show opportunity in the holdem cash games, have you noticed it in the tourneys also?

On the main lobby page in “set options” you should be able to select “keep folded cards”. Please let me know if that doesn’t work for you.

Is Maryland not allowed on PPN? It's "missing" from the list of states, which makes me think the OP may be incorrect.

It seems in Maryland the only option you have is the Revo skins.

Moving seems a great option. Right after the Ravens win on Sunday. Thanks - E

here is a thread you need to read: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/for...priming-2.html

it does show that Maryland has a restriction that applies to PPN

Next time you need a warm body, send me a PM on here. I'll sit in.

There were a few oddities in tonight's game.

The first part of the game there seem to be a lot of people coming and going at the table. Were there a lot of disconnects going on? I had no problem staying connected tonight.

In the first screenshot, we see two cards but no player. This was the second hand for this player to come in on this table and all I saw were cards. Finally on the third hand we found out it was dirty21.

In the second screenshot, we see the player BamaFan is showing as AWAY but if we look in the chat window, we see he has raised to $0 and is moved all-in. He was showing to be at the table when this hand started but then his timeline started counting down. Then it seemed to fold him/put him all in simultaneously. When it got to the player to my right, chs600, he called the BB. I had hoped to play my hand but because I wasn't sure what was happening, I folded preflop.

Anyway, it was a pretty good game tonight but I am really looking forward to the updated client.

I'll try to remember to PM you next time. Many ppn players are on Skype and i often forget there are those who are not. Anyway, we did get 26 players so i'm looking forward to the event running this week for the first time in months. Of course you could just make it a point to start a table. What do you have to lose if you wait a long time for some action? I almost always get some play eventually when i start a table, even fixed limit, certainly enough to play a raked hand.

it only only took 2 raked hands to get in the tourney. poor ole futurepro69 only had one raked hand when i accidentally played him a hand, something i try to avoid because he never fails to act like an ass --- too bad, so sad, such a loser lol)

I thought i had seen all the quirks but that first screen shot is a novel one. did you try taking his seat? lol

the second screen shot is no mystery. i suppose it is ppn's version of disconnect protection. when the player disconnected, instead of folding him or showing him away, it treated him as all in with a zero raise. I have often seen this is cash games, and in particular with bamafan, who tends to have a lot of disconnects lately.

I'm glad u enjoyed the tourney, i was trying to watch the super bowl and pretty much donked out of all my games early.

Do tournament entry fees count towards raked hands and the leaderboard? It's mainly a question out of curiosity.

Not a big cash table visitor -- but not necessarily averse to some micro FLHE if I can find time -- but can't really find a lot of tournaments that appeal to me. They all seem to be rebuy/add-on GTD tournaments and I have little interest in them.

Tournament entry fees do not count toward raked hands for the leaderboard or otherwise. You must play cash games if you want to meet the play through requirements for your freeroll winnings or bonus, to earn rakeback or to qualify for the weekly rakers tourney. You are likely to get some action if you start a micro limit NLHE table, especially in the evening. Many players do not like to start tables but will join in if you do.

The evening guarantee and bounty tourneys are the most popular. We welcome your suggestions as to what other tourneys you would like to play. Please include the fees, time, game type and number of minimum players of the tourneys you would like to see. Thanks for you input.
