Agree. Just doesn't make sense to limit the number of tables/lobbies that can be open at any given time.

Unfortunate side affect of new software.

The game lobbies really seem to be problematic. When I am registered for more than one of the freerolls, lately, when the tournament I am expecting to open does so, one of the other lobbies I have registered in, pops up also.

Now I have a problem that is a much bigger issue. I was disconnected from the freeroll and I can't log back in. Getting an Error 1 message, "There was a connection error to the server."

I registered for the $25 Guaranteed so I have a whole $1.25 at risk if the game starts.

After about 20 minutes I am able to log in again. Can't find the game I was in and it looks like the $25 Guaranteed didn't start.

Missed tonight's freeroll because I only had the main lobby open and thought the tournament started at 8:00 my time, rather than 7:00. Tournament did not pop up automatically. Wasn't this supposed to be fixed?

Tonight's $25 Guaranteed game.

Just before the first break I was down to about $1250 and attempted to rebuy. Nothing happened when I clicked on the Add Chips button. Closed the tournament lobby and tried again. Nothing. Closed the game table. Then it didn't show up on the main lobby list. Tried to use "Find a Player" but that did nothing to take me back. Finally closed the client and restarted. At this point the game was listed in the main lobby and I could return. I was also able to rebuy finally.

This shouldn't be such a difficult task to accomplish and should not interrupt game play.

yes it was supposed to be fixed and i think it was at one point. I occassionally test the "fixes" but i have no faith that anything "fixed" will stay that way so i leave the window open beginning at least an hour before an event. If i have two events close to one another i will open the second one as soon as the first one starts. Also, I do not register for a future freeroll until i have completed one. If they don't get these things permanently fixed soon then the new players will probably drop like flies.

surprisingly, the rebuys and add ons worked perfectly for me in that event. but i do not doubt the problems you had. i just don't understand it. If i had a clue maybe i could get a job as a PPN programmer --- er-- maybe not.

Guess I still gonna wait until the site has made a few more baby steps forward before I will eventually create an account ... with so many confirmed bugs in the software client, I rather stick with other small start-ups that also have a low traffic but at least a decent software instead.

Funny thing is that I used your name the first time I tried to use the "Find a Player" function. It told me where to find you, game and table numbers, but offered no option to take me there, which is what I wanted. Tried DOEceDOE also with the same results. Didn't try my own name.

The thing that really tweaks me about this is that it happened right in the middle of the game at a point where I desperately needed chips and some cards. I dropped 25% of my stack before I got my rebuy and who knows what hands I missed.

I wouldn't let these issues keep you from opening an account. It will take time, maybe lots of time, before the software is really where is should be but the games are small and enjoyable. People are usually very friendly. Try the freerolls just to get used to the look.

Also, in last night's $25 Guaranteed I found it unusual that that first few players who went out did not rebuy. One of these was PPNCEO. Wondered if they were unable to get a rebuy. Seems strange not to rebuy at least once in a rebuy/add-on game, in my opinion anyway.

I was begging at the freeroll tables for 3 more players to join so there would be the minimum number of players required for the tourney to run. I suspect that Chuck only joined as a courtesy so i'm not surprised he didn't rebuy. The last 2 players to join literally got in at the last minute. The first 2 or 3 times i played the event i didn't even realize you could rebuy/add on.

The times where I created an account just to participate in Freerolls are gone by a few years already, I pay by far more attention to the whole product now and expect a certain quality with a rather limited time. That being said and witnessing the bugs day in day out reported by several members, you may understand that it doesn't quite create a lot of thrill for potential new customers and exactly that should be the main goal for a relatively new site with small traffic.

I've wondered about this also.

Completely understand. Hopefully, they will make the needed improvements in the near future.

The beat the boss/beat the staff promotion (which was carried over for 2 monts but didn't run because they could only get 30 of the 50 players required) is still appearing on the promotions page. It has apparently been replaced by Visit the Boss. I'm guessing there is no minimum player requirement; we are overdue for a visit from Gio so maybe he will wander in and tell us.

The $25 guarantee has enough players most nights. You can find it under the "special" tab. Since this has been the most popular cash entry tourney maybe they can run it in the afternoon also. I would like to see more tourneys I can enter for a dollar or two and would love the addition of a cheap omaha hilo tourney.

The new tourney leaderboard, scantly previewed last month on the promotions page appeared to be underway because the new rankings were being posted, they are no longer being posted. I hope they get the rankings back up, for me that was an additional incentive to play the cash tourney.

Maybe Gio can tell us more about the new tourney leaderboard promotion. Has it started, when will events run, what is the point structure, how much are we playing for? It would make sense to get this info up on the leaderboard page as soon as possible if it is underway. They should at least let us know when it will start since the temporary posting of the rankings lead me to believe it was under way.

Tonight I had the freeroll tournament lobby open and I was not seated on time. When I was seated, again it was without cards, although it was my turn to act.

The screenshot below shows a hand a few minutes later in the freeroll. I wasn't in it thankfully. Would have been hard to play a one card flop.

Still having some issues with rebuying in the $25 Guaranteed. Once again I had to close the game down and the main client. Once I restarted it and got back to the table I could rebuy. The Add-On popped up automatically at the break which was nice. Why not an automatic Rebuy pop-up when the chip level falls below 1500?

Where has Gio been? We haven't seen him lately.

I agree with you Indy. These Rebuy/Add-on games are nice and it would be great to see them run a couple of times per day with some other options.

the evening $25 guarantee now runs every other night. I can't imagine why they wouldn't run it every night, since there hasn't been an overlay, if any, since the first few runs.

There is now a $10 guarantee tourney that runs on alternate days at 14:30 E.S.T.

That screenshot definitely got a giggle out of me. thanks for the post.

I do not agree with the automatic rebuy pop up idea. I don't know any software that does that. I have occassionally thought of innovative software changes but i quickly dismiss them - no point complicating matters before they get the basics right.

What would be the problem with an auto rebuy pop-up? Don't some of the cash games have an auto rebuy feature? I seem to remember seeing it on PokerStars but as I've never used it I might be mistaken. I definitely agree it doesn't make sense before the basics are running properly.

Speaking of running properly.......

I had the WORST experience today trying to play the freeroll and the $10 Guaranteed. I didn't keep count of how many times the games just stopped working for me but I would guess 10+. I don't think I was disconnected, just suddenly had a game table that stopped having any action. A complete PAIN IN THE BUTT to shut down each table, then shut down the main client, restart the client and find my tables again.

Once again I had to shut everything down and restart so I could do a rebuy.

The screenshot below shows a hand where the player at the bottom was clearly away. Why does the game wait on them, including running the countdown timer? This continues to be a problem and slows the games down. At one point it was happening for SandyBeach and Playin4Fun.

The next screenshot is a two card flop. I saw a one card flop again but since I've already posted one didn't bother with it. I'm guessing everyone else saw all the cards as I didn't see any comments in the chat box. Probably just happened to me again.

And finally, a hand where I had just come back into the game after one of many shutdowns/restarts. Clearly my turn. Where are my cards?

Anyway, it was a struggle to stay in the games today and my least enjoyable experience to date with PPN.

I had the game freeze on me also in tourney in the last 24 hours. It is not the first time but I obviously have not had as much trouble with it as you have had.

I also noticed recently that the players sitting out no longer fold instantly - very annoying.

It now looks like the tourney leaderboard is based on the old point scheme so it looks like there has been no progress toward re-instituting this promotion.

A lot of low entry guaranteed tourneys have been added, including a $50 tourney on Sunday. Well done PPN

Also, sign up for freerolls is now limited to 90 minutes before the event. As a result today's freeroll only had 17 players. there were still a few sitting out but not nearly as many as previous freerolls. I'm glad to see this improvement.
