Another idea to incurage higher stacks play is to run a promotion for those tables like a bad beat, high hand or other jackpot. it could be paid in regular chips. High hand or hourly is the best way to go and keep the jackpot within the 3000 regular chip limit.

or a special auction you have to qualify for by number of hands at x stakes or leaderboard invite members only could be monthly

My understanding is that for every auction, ALL the money is ALWAYS awarded off as long as at least one player bids on that auction that night.

Ergo, if the aforementioned player was the only one bidding that night, he would have in fact received the entire $500, correct? Of course, this scenario is highly unlikely to ever occur.

How is that possible? Because I also thought all money is auctioned off (regardless of these probably common situations) simply based on the bid rates in decending order and each one picks up their share of the prize money based on going down this rank list? So however big or small each one receives in absolute size prize money, the remainder of the prize money continues to be awarded off until it is all gone from after going down the list of accepted bid rates (lowest last one is lowest accepted bid rate). Is this all correct or am I missing something here? Please illustrate an occurrence where there was/is in fact money left over from the $1K or $500 prize money in an auction that night. Thank you.

Lets consider a $500 auction where we only had 2 bids. One for $50 for 500 LCs and another for $10 for 200 LCs. Since only $60 was bid on this is the max that could be awarded. The LAB would have been 10 LC/$.

Again, this is unlikely and we've never had an auction where the sum of all dollar bids was less than the auction amount.

Below is the chart of all bids for the 11/22 auction. The width of each box is the amount of $ bid and the height is amount of LCs. Before we got to the large blue box (4,444 LCs high x $500 wide) we had given away $448. The last bidder got the remaining $52 at an 8.89 bid rate and paid 463 LCs.

I was temp banned by an aggressive moderator swinging a ban hammer around screaming "RAAAWR!!!". What did I miss?

I saw virtually no traffic on this site over the weekend.

Ok, got it. Thanks.

Actually I have one other question. I thought this guy bid off 4,445 live chips for $500 which translates to a bid rate of 8.89, but you said he bid off 463 live chips? Didn't he use up all of his live chips (presumably total of 4445) after receiving this money (albeit of course less than what he wanted)? So, am I correct to understand his live chip balance goes to 0 after receiving the $52, right?

They didn't take all his chips, because they didn't give him all the money he wanted. They checked how much they had left, figured out what his proportional bid on that amount of money was, and only took the proportional amount of chips.

It sure wouldn't be fair if they had taken all the chips he offered for $500, but only gave him $52, would it?

This is correct - since there was only $52 left we multiply that by his bid rate to calculate how many LCs he used - $52 * 8.89 LC/$ = 463 LC

So am I to understand that his live chip balance remaining in the account after this auction is now 4445 - 463, or 3980 live chips? Is this correct?

We're continuing to collect and prioritize player feedback. Once we have a round of changes ready to go we test and then roll it out. We've done this a few times the last several months and there are more improvements to come.

We'd definitely like to increase the amount and frequency of the auctions - this will depend no how successful we are in growing the user base. Everyone can help by referring friends to make the site THE destination for sweepstakes ring game poker.

Thanks! Good luck! I hope you keep it all going.

We don't know how many Live Chips he had in his account when he bid the 4,445 (this bid may only represent a portion of his LC bankroll) - but assuming he did bid all his Live Chips then yes his balance would only be reduced by 463.

Hey LiveAce Lori - who's the black-haired hottie in the banner ad here on 2+2? LiveAce should hold a tournament where the winner gets her phone number - that'd drum up a TON of traffic!

It's probably Lori haha

i cant believe i am saying this but Liveace has had less issues then all the startup sites in New jersey so far.

Have you considered adding Omaha Hi/Low? It would likely be more popular than PLO and certainly more popular than limit hold'em. It's a great action game that I think would suit your site perfectly.

Surprisingly, PartyPoker NJ (and presumably all PartyPoker globally?) also has the heads-up button placement when a 3rd player is at the table sitting out bug.

Traffic is really low on this site and I have to be totally honest: I think some of the worst poker players on earth play here.

Has inflation kicked in full blast yet or is there still some money to be made here via auctions?

Low traffic, worse players on earth, and inflation in full blast? This doesn't seem possible.
