i mean, they've sent winning_td in there to show ppl a new mtt schedule for tonight, when they probably should've shut the poker rooms down until this issue was solved in it's entirety imo. for 4 straight nights mtt players have been chasing a carrot on a stick that they will not catch.
idk maybe im being unrealistic.
Winning_TD has made a large number of posts. He started a thread (WPN Down!, as you know) immediately after the outage explaining the cause of the outage and stating that the players would be refunded according to the T and C. He stated that the subsequent outage happened because of an attempt to assure what had happened wouldn't happen again. He later posted that he was personally going to assure that the players get payed. Saying that they sent in Winning_TD is a little bit of an understatemnet. Winning_TD is WPN's Tournament Director. He has clout. He has also kept players abreast about what it going on as far as the near future tournament schedule. I think that Winning_TD has done an excellent job.
This whole thing was caused by bad guys on the outside. Even Microsoft has fallen victim to this type of thing. Using 20/20 hindsight maybe they should have closed down the entire site until the matter was completely resolved but there is certainly an element of unpredictability in all of this. And can you imagine the uproar if they had in fact closed down the entire site for a couple of days? There would have been a panic that the DOJ was closing the site. Closing down the site might have meant the end of WPN.
