The list displays VPPs earned in 2012. Some players had their 2011 totals carried over as a result of relocating, for example.

he's already finished off the 3 million mark since he started off with sth like 500k which he earned between jan 1st 2011 and black friday. sure it looks pretty damn weird to just give a **** to the last 50k points or so otherwise

Right. That number does not include players who will maintain their status into 2013 due to the ring game exception made at the beginning of the year. Additionally, players who have a yearly VPP total of over 1,000,000 only due to transferring VPPs after a relocation are not included.

It's been a unique year in terms of the various ways it will be possible to continue on as a Supernova Elite in 2013, but we've still seen lots of players -- even ones eligible for exceptions -- still do it the old fashioned way and earn all 1,000,000+ VPPs. A handful of players have put up 300K+ VPP Decembers to finish off their goals.

At exact what time will the vpp reset? is it 00.00 ET or waht time?

Yes Yearly VPPs will reset on January 1 at 00:00 ET. Some players choose to change their in-client time zone settings to ET to be 100% sure about tracking the deadline according to our server's time.

The Time Zone Settings window can be opened by selecting the 'Options' menu and 'Time Zone Settings...'.

Finally finished up playing this year. Last year on the dealt system finished Oct 18th. This year because of changes finished Dec 31st. Got to love playing 25% more and getting the same results.

pretty ridic grind from mouldyonions past few days. was pretty far away from 2m, but (i think) he got it.

Yes. As long as no one reaches it before December 2013 then I think I'm in with a shot. Already pretty excited.

I switched over to a polyphasic sleep pattern a few days in order to make it.

It worked better then I expected. However I appearently was so sleep deprived that I didnt realize how foolish it was to take a nap within 10 hours and 3300k VPP to go.

Not that I had ever even fallen asleep during any of my 20 min naps or even came close to this time it had to happen.

Fortunetly though I woke up 3 hours later. I was in severe panic compounded by sleep deprevation and overall stress.

For the first 30 minutes I couldnt make sense of anything that was happening at the tables, I literally was just clicking buttons.

After I was playing enough tables that it seemed possible i started to calm down and think more clearly. The biggest fear was that I just couldnt get on enogh tables during this time of the day.

After the first hour I realized I had made enough VPPs that if I just kept playing id make it without a sweat.

I finished with little less then a hour to go.


I will stick with the polyphasic sleep and see how it goes.


Playing 6 - 10 hours a day of poker and still have 10+ hours a day for other healthy eating, excersise, leisure activities, family time, or just relaxing and watching a movie without and all that without feeling guilty sounds so much better then what ive been thru this year that I have to try it.

Even if its bad for my health SNE has wrecked my lifestyle so much in the last month that I think if I had actually time for healthy activities , be it just spending 1 hour of Quality time per day with my kids is going to carry much more value then might be lost from unhealthy polyphasic sleep pattern.

Any chance of an update on how many players achieved SNE on PokerStars.fr, .it and .es? Just curious. Would think it'd be tough, even on .fr.

Kind of random question...

Does anyone else have a problem whereupon after about 5-10 minutes from starting a set the PokerStars client becomes unresponsive for about 30 seconds and all the tables fade out? It happens only after I've restarted my machine, but it happens on my backup machine also. Anyone have any advice?

Happened something similar a week ago or so. Funny is I was playing only a tournament on pokerstars.FR, I had the .com lobby open and a message popped up saying something like 'Pokerstars GUI is having trouble'. I pressed ok and it shut down.
