I don't have anything to add about the rake changes, as I'm not a cash game player and I'm just observing the situation, and like you say, I am biased. But I certainly don't like to see a bunch of Stars players unhappy.

Lastly, Stars is not my "employer."

Thanks for the obnoxious/trollish tone of your comments + happy new year.
Eh, I think it's somewhat disingenuous to claim that your post wasn't in support of Stars' decision. His explanation seems reasonable and I don't see any reason not to give him the benefit the doubt.

Also semantics aside Stars is essentially your employer unless I'm missing something. Sorry my tone offended you, at first read the situation seemed pretty screwed up (still does), this guy doesn't deserve to lose a year of hard work because of this. I would hope most people feel that way.

From a fellow nyc jew happy new years though. And phase, hope this gets sorted out for you... was a DoN reg back in the day, played a good amount with you, grats on reaching SNE regardless of whether stars decides to cheat you out of it or not.

Sick joey!

Great stuff, joey! Nice upswing for the last stretch too. 450K VPPs in a month is disgusting!!

A pic for all you SNE achievers.

It was more like...I was driving around randomly thinking about the situation, and it seemed that there wasn't really an immediately logical explanation (the grudge match explanation was not offered until later iirc). It also seemed like most of the responses were biased/possibly naive in phase's favor, so I decided to post.

I have no reason to go out of my way to support Stars in this spot...the reason I lurk in this thread is because I am a fan of the SNE chase, respect SNE players, and I enjoy the sweat etc. There is no part of me that wants to see a grinder get screwed out of SNE out of loyalty to my sponsor.

And I would hate to see phase unfairly DQ'd for something that was normal play, but it's not surprising at all that this pattern of play rendered a (false) positive.

And to you, a less sarcastic, cynical happy new year than the last time I said it ITT!

Is there gonna be a server restart right after midnight ET or will it be possible to play on the old dealt tables for a while?

How can you be dumb enough to bet against Joey on a volume bet? Especially if you know Joey(as roommate!!!) ?! And also be good enough to have 45k to throw away on the bet.
I feel like such a loser now. I wouldn't be that dumb and yet I wouldn't afford to throw away 45k.
Congrats btw!(not that I had any doubt whatsoever that you'd do it)

Changes of this type now take place on deployed tables instantly. All tables are already converted to weighted contributed.

Hey i try to count my rakeback this year

Please tell is this calculation is ok

gotta history from mikrogaming

I go to holdem manager, click PLAYERS on left, make some changes to see all of hands on pokersite and all players

I have got 260626 hands
the 4th column "$" is a rake 105000

then an average rake per player after 1k hands is - 40 $ (1000 hands x 10500 rake / 260626 hands)

then in my thinking process in dealt method every player would receive vips for 40$ rake after 1000 hands

Secondly - to see how much could we lose after PS changes is to count our average rake after 1k hands

I play 20/17 and make 30 rake after 1000 hands which I can check in HM

it is 25% less than the average which means that I would be losing 25% after changes.
