Go to options, tournament announcements, and check the box that says Block Pop-Up and Chat Announcements. I had a similar problem too. Led to several misclicks.

Hi guys,

I'm a first time SNE chaser (so far 11k in 2 days, looking good ). Last year I played close to 1000 hours of poker (only like 5% on stars tho) and never had the following problem: I've played A LOT during the last 2 days and my eyes hurt terribly, could you give me some advice concerning screen setup / any good medication for red eyes?

my eye doc prescribe me artificial tears but i never use it

Some people swear by Gunnar glasses to fix this sort of thing, you can buy them in the Pokerstars store.

any PLO players ITT want to confirm or deny a much lower VPP/h rate so far this year? i bet it is like a leftover from dec effect. i played some PLO in dec and the VPP rates were ridiculous.


i do and love them, some say it is a placebo, whatever my eyes feel better though .

Not going for it this year just like i didn't go for it last year.

I would love to try hit SNE at some point, but 600k might be a more realistic target for me
this year.

The two most important things for Elite chasers in my eyes is staying ahead of pace, and having a solid plan. So far for this year don't think Ill have either.

The end of last year I played a bunch of 6 and 9 mans and did not go well, just like a lot of the other regs, but worse. My plan for this year was to get Elite by playing pretty much every type of SNG and heads-up before my multiplier ran out since I am Elite now, but think that has to change. I am definately not a winner at those games for now, and do not want to experience what I went through at the end of last year again for a full year.

So for now I will just be sticking to heads up sngs averaging 4 at a time. It is harder to get a lot of games in and the lobbies are often crowded so I hope I won't be wasting a lot of time 1 tabling. To try not to for now I will be playing $55-$550 and see how it goes. Quite ahead of pace now at 58k VPP because the WSOP but i suspect to drop behind considering my new plan and PCA coming up. Just can't take a whole year of losing money at the tables so we will see how this goes. I am still confident that I will make it again but will now take longer. Good luck all!

Wow! I thought all you elite guys used software tools. I believe HEM would help with 6 & 9 man especially at the higher bi's. I would like to know which other elite players play by feel..

I never used one until this year, I really didn't use it this year either I just kind of had it running there. I know JustForFunds doesn't use one either. We're both cash game players.
