What would be a good stop loss for 20 DONs? Not like I'd ever follow it.

At least that's what I think it is.
Ah, makes perfect sense. I'd like that too. Thanks for taking the time to explain!

Dumb question--do VPPs get rounded in any spots? In the 74 Hyper turbos, that's $1.45rake x 5.5 = 7.975. Does it get rounded to the hundredth or anything? (7.98 one time!)

A good stop loss for any game any buy in is when you feel like you are not playing your best game. If you feel like your still playing well then just keep playing and dont worry about a losing session. A session is different to people, could be one hour, 4 hours, or one day. Just play your best 24/7 and when ur in the mood and you will be alright.

100k, trying to get 1.25/1.5 million so way behind schedule.. but confident, gogo

That's how I feel. I've just gotten completely crapped on the last 2 days at the 50s. I still feel I'm playing OK, but when it's just not working out maybe it's time to stop, do something else and come back refreshed the next day. It's hard to gauge if you're playing well when you're running like crap, at least for me.

Seriously the amount of VPPs you would get from those stakes would be rediculously tiny.

Your right, sometimes you just feel like nothing is going your way, but I think most people underestimate (including myself) the time 15 minutes away from the computer can make you feel refreshed and ready to start again. Of course nothing you can do sometimes, but if you are frusterated, I would take a little break and come back refreshed, doesnt have to be the nexy day or whatever

Yes, 15 minutes does the trick for me sometimes. Then I try to play and here we go again with the beats... I'm not an elite grinder, I'm going for 500K VPPs, so I've gotta have a winrate to make this worth my time. It's damn sure not worth the stress if I make under 50K this year.

How long is a piece of string?
Variance so huge I'm dons. would be pointless trying to implement it.
If you are not playing your best then quit. If you are just try get your daily vpp's and hope u as close to BE as possible.
Just my thoughts.

Is variance really that bad in DONs? I don't think so. I also suffer from self-doubt. Everytime I go on a losing streak I doubt whether or not I'm still a winning player and can make the cut playing poker for a living.

Any game where u are forced into so many coin flip situations is gonna have high variance. The best players at the 104's are pulling 3% roi. So yeah I would say variance is huge. Those downswings where u question your game so much, what do relate those to? Variance maybe?

I like the change to just nationalities showing up as players' Location. But I think it's absolutely crucial that more information is given in the confirmation window after a player transfer is requested.

Give us the player's avatar, or first letter of the city, or actual city...Please.

Hey Azn!! I was reading your blog earlier and saw a picture of you at Buenos Aires visiting "La Bombonera". I guess it was a guided tour non-game day. I have two seats since 1989 and go to the games almost every sunday. I would love to take you to a game if you are coming down again for the next LAPT here. Just contact me if you want so we can arrange, I can even give you a ride to Rosario. Played with you hundreds of games at $100+ stakes even though im not a regular sng grinder.

I didnt know you were here last LAPT until it was over, otherwise I woulda love to meet you.

Im shooting for 600k vpp this year, 62k atm.

Best for you and everybody else in this thread

Yah, couldn't sit at anymore tables, so I killed the client and relaunched.
I entered username/password and clicked login, but it's not completing the login.

Been fine for me (UK)

But it seems all the tables just went from full to 2-3 handed, so must be a geographic thing
02-08-2011 , 10:36 AM
Same, it happens for the first time.

EDIT: It's working now.

Hopefully HEM and stars gets fixed by the 10th. Been slacking the last few days waiting to see how the changes affect my chase.

122k

If it makes you feel better I'm down like almost 2k in last 3 days in 20 and 50 DONS. And I feel like I cant win anymore....

Don't think so...

I'm in UK and weird problem where I was sat out on some SNGs and was watching myself blind out whilst playing other tables fine, in which other people were perhaps in a similar position as half the people on most of my tables was sat out.

Weird problem that I've never seen happen before. Felt like I got pretty screwed :-/

Seems to be back to normal now.
