working again for me

someone from stars just pmed me and tried to say it was my network issues thats total bs, wtf 2x vpp day because this is ******** wtf em I suppose to to on your lagfested network.


get this hit fixed and stop blaming it on other people, its pretty obvious its not only my internet when different people are complaining from different places with different isp access.

Yea I keep thinking its the internet on my end but with all these complaints I guess it's stars... really annoying especially since I'm (we're) trying to go hard and push this last month+ to get SNE

Guys, a quick question - in what time people start celebrating thanksgiving and do games usually become juicier during that time?

as for people looking at buy laptops for playing poker, someone already suggested ram, but i think battery life and perhaps getting a non-glossy screen (if you will play it somewhere that isn't in the darkness of your room) are two other important options, especially if you intend on using it during/for travel. also in agreement that it doesn't really matter about the raw power and all that. lots of the graphics cards are totally useless unless you want to play games and just suck up battery life. a non-fancy integrated card is probably best if you will use your laptop away from a power supply at times.

just my 2c from when i did some browsing for a laptop for myself a few months ago.

btw the recent macbook pros running windows look amazing in terms of battery life, but i didn't find out more about that until i'd already purchased mine (obviously costs more too, but i'd say better deal than buying some baller pc laptop with high-end processors and gfx).

edit: but glossy screen would be a better choice for watching movies/playing games.

Yeah, few laptops come with a decent SSD from what I've seen though, so it has been a case of fitting your own. Maybe that will change with the new Sandforce-based and Intel SSDs due in Q1, hopefully they will start to break into the mainstream. New Core i processors are due then too, February/March feels like the best time to buy a new machine IMO.

the lag according to the email I got back from support was from their end and only affected mass multitablers and should be fixed now. They responded very quickly and got it fixed so it should be good going forward.

it affected everyone when none of the tables were doing anything for approx 10 minutes earlier, so i don't believe that email.

+1 I was just assuming it was my connection and would be jumping back and forth between my normal connection and my wireless card but both would be terrible, and I would go in to some weird form of lag/disconnect where I would never completely disconnect, but I couldn't do anything.

I've been having connection troubles too fwiw.

what I gathered when I e-mailed stars with lag/internet issues a month back is that when their server lags (due to all sorts of issues), the worst connections to PS (The non-100% connections) are the first to lag/disconnect depending on how bad the connection is........this could be the reason why some people notice it and some dont.
still annoying, but this is why PS doesnt think its their fault, because it is working smoothly for plenty (atleast my case, not sure current situation)

if you are going to 24 table, have a few webpages up, music, multiple poker sites, and most importantly a hud with many stats and a huge database you need at least a mid level computer.

i dont see how it could hurt, leave stellars just like they are then maybe divide 100k to 200k into maybe 25k to 50k increments and make them be the exact same value across the board FPP to $ as currently. you could do 25k increments for 100k to 200k and 50k increments from 200k to 300k.

I'd be pretty geeked to see milestones readjusted to something like:

140K
160K
180K
200K
225K-250-275-300-330-360-390- 420-450 - 500 - 550 -600 -700 -800

or whatever. I loved chasing those little stellar rewards. Then you hit 100K and it's like, "Wow. 100K. Nice job. Now do it all again for one more reward."

Divide those babies up and I will be even more addicted to stars than I already am.

wow, yours rocks it like whoa tbh. i would love it. stars gives up bonus's quicker and that would probably cost them money but i dont see how much. maybe stop at 500k and that is the underground movement of NinjaNova's perks.
