24 table 1/2 6 max nl holdem

I keep forgetting we have all year to get SNE lol i keep thinking to myself if i dont get it by june then i dont get it at all, preparing for a few 200k vpp a month.

I really liked that list someone posted earlier for things they do to help them play more and comfortable each day.

Anyone have any other ideas or suggestions us playing 6-15 hours a day can to do prepare/stay comfortable throughout the session.

My basic plan I have come up with so far as I just moved to a whole new area (i used to live out this way 2 years ago) like 8 pm last night and finally got everything set up is to have 2 setups to play on in my apartment, one in my room where i can be laying on the bed and play on my 70 inch like i did when i played 600k hands in november, my other is a regular computer chair/dual monitor setup in living room so i can get a change of scenery and see some more light.

Planning on trying to stick to a routine of wake up and eat breakfast around 7-8 AM, play 4-6 hours, eat lunch and go to gym for some social interaction. Come back and play 4-6 hours and then hang out with friends/dates and then sleep by midnight-1. I'm just hoping I can stick to this for the next few months when weather gets nicer/start meeting more friends/girls and stick to my goal of 125k+ from SNE. Defintly any help or ideas that will make this easier to do/from people that have done it would be awesome to hear!!

Yea i would say like 95 percent sure, im not sure if im going to just do a prop bet for 1 million 6 max or a combination of sng, 6 max, fr throughout the month but aiming for either march or may, not sure yet.

Do you think that doing that kind of things is good for you in the long run? Wouldn't be better to spend more time studying poker? I have been even considering to play less tables and make reaching SNE something secondary instead of my main objective.

100 percent worried about what it might do to me long term, the 600k month def messed up my game but i think I am starting to get it back now. I think the potential I have to make from doing it might make it worth it depending on how much action I can get. I personally feel confident in my game to know that if I play the amount of hands it takes to get to SNE i will still be a winner in the games so that combined with the 115k of bonuses make it okay for me to go for it this year and then worry about playing less tables and focusing more after I have made the money.

Alot of people say that they will just play less and still be able to make so much without having to get to elite but I look at it like I'm not really sure what I can make just playing 100-300k hands a month but I know that if i achieve elite and breakeven I will make over 100k.

So I understand that your plan is making a good bankroll, by achieving SNE, winning money at the tables and on some prop bets, and after that, start dedicating more time to learn. That's more or less what I did last year, spending the last two months watching lots of videos, reading articles and such. But now I don't really know whether I should just repeat the same that I did last year (mainly 24 tabling 1/2 full ring plus some SNG and MTT's at the same time) or play less tables and invest more time to study.

Maybe I should go to another site instead of Poker Stars, but that's another topic, regarding winrates and, therefore, short run if I plan playing poker for years.

That number just worked out well for me based on how many FPPs I'm carrying over to the start of this year. That will allow me to hit and clear the 400k milestone bonus, for a nice even total of 25k in cleared bonuses for the year. And I'll have just over 250k FPPs remaining at the end to buy another 4k bonus to clear at the start of next year.

If things go well and I move up faster than expected, I might adjust things and go for the 500k as well. But my main priority is to keep improving and get to where I can be a winner at midstakes games.

Joey, with the kind of volume your putting in make sure you do all you can to prevent repetative motion/carpel tunnel type problems before they start. Once the pain starts it's alot harder to get rid of than it is to prevent it in the first place.

-have a really comfortable chair/desk the right height. I personaly use a lazyboy and a pillow in my lap for the mouse/trackball to sit in, but most people use a really good office type desk and like it.

-Use every script you can to help reduce clicking.

-Use some method of putting some of the load on your off hand. I've used a gamepad before, but like this alot better.

-find something to change up with from the standerd mouse, changing off every month or so, or at the first signs of pain. I use this

-wear a wrist brace when you play. you can be dumb and wait till carpel tunnel starts to wear it (like I was, and most people I know) or you can be really smart and start wearing it now. I use this

-have a fridge easy to reach and drink lots of fliuds an maybe some gatoraid type stuff. It may be just me, but I have problems with getting dehidrated during long sessions. It doesn't matter much during, but after the session when I get up and move around if I havent drank enough I feel like crap.

you'll find better games if you get up around noon eat lunch and go to gym for some social interaction. Come back and play 4-6 hours and then hang out with friends/dates and then play midnight-5ish. there's a reason most of use don't get up before noon.

that said, if your a morning person, just play when you feel like it.

wow, i played a ton this morning and got like 1700 vpps... SNE is really, relaly hard. congrats to all u sick grinders in 08

anyway, i've decided to try for 100k vpp by feb 10th, and if i've done that, i'll go for it

I can't wait to return from the PCA to start making VPPs :s

Two great stories

German player 800 points short on the 300K VPP milestone bonus. Emailed us that he had given up, with 8 hours left I converted all of his FPPs and emailed him back. He used that money and just made it in time by 14 points.

Another player we told he must make it used his FPPs for SM satellites. He won 4 seats and used the T$ to play SNGs. Made it just in time.

Is a trackman/trackball style mouse better on your wrists/carpal tunnel than a traditional mouse? How so? Do you wear the wrist brace when you sleep as well? A friend of mine who's a physical therapist told me I should wear one at night playing as much poker as I do.

Really noob question here, but what can this be programmed to do?

Pretty sure I accounted for everything in my spreadsheet. If you have a minute, take a look at this and see if I overlooked anything.

Milestone bonuses are 5x bonuses, not 10k VPPs per.

Probably need to ask another thread, but you know what? I think that $4000 for 250k fpp isn't worth it in terms of paying down a loan at 5%.

I got this equity loan to pay off, which has 20k left at 4.8% or something like that. The amount of time to accumulate the first 250k (25 days as oppose to 10 days to get 100k fpp when playing 2800 vpp/day) And the the additional days to clear each 250k fpp as oppose to 100k fpp bonuses, doesn't overcome the interest accruing on the 20k. Now I am just estimating, because I didn't go over exact numbers. Someone tell me different if I am wrong here.

Now the 650 bonus vs $1,500 bonus is definitely worth it, but that .01 % difference between $4k and $1,500 bonuses is hardly worth it.

Any math whiz able to tell me when it is worth to play (what dollar amount at 5%) for that 4k bonus as oppose to just playing for 1,500 when you have a loan at 5%?
