People are amazing sometimes. Everyone who has talked to a professional who has researched the actual law is posting that items purchased through FPPs are, in certain circumstances, not taxable.

then we get posts with no reasoning from people who are so sure they ARE taxable and that 'oh you better get a second opinion', with no indication of any research on the topic or any reference to reason or expertise.

so stupid. If you have a good reason to believe what you posted, share it. Otherwise, what's the point?

A lot of us have read quite a bit on poker taxes over the years, so forgive us if we can't cite sources of the top of our heads. It was for that reason that I simply said 'second opinion would be good'.

I started a thread in the legislation forum.

Any idea what these figures were at this time last year? Seems like the number of Supernovas might have doubled.

It sounds cool. Why isn't it available in other EPT's?

They might have to up the ante or do something else because it appears the "Elites" aren't that elit anymore. Maybe it's just me but it should be like 5 people or less for it to be "elite".

Does stars ever plan to do something for the players who get around 500k vpp a year but have no chance at sne. A tier between sn and sne would be great and im sure over a thousand of the supernovas would agree.

Do you mean something in addition to the $11,000 they give you in milestone bonuses?

Anyways, I've pitched the idea for a new VIP level around that mark for the past two years now.

it would motivate me a ton more to play on stars with all my action. I play elsewhere atleast 50% of the time. I ususally play elsewhere for the better rakeback deals but come back when im tilted by there ****ty software

If I keep playing on Stars, I think I won't reach much more than 500 000 VPP, so I agree, it would be great.

Here's some motivation for those grinding for the last SNE push (i.e. castleman):

I would prefer to have $11k in milestone bonuses at 500k then some different title or level that earns me 4x FPP's or something. Reason: $11k is worth more.

Part of me thinks that if they took away all the milestones but added a new VIP level at 500k called Supernova Cool Guy that gave 3.51x FPP's that some people would come to the conclusion that this is somehow better.

no i mean some extra reward, i could not care about a "bragging title" maybe stars could lay on like a free entry into wcoop events or a bigger fpp bonus or something which = a few more% rakeback. Something like this would persuade me to dedicate all my play onto stars. Currently there missing out on maybe 150-200k vpp of my play which equals a considderable ammount of money.

I know its not standard bu i have a higher then normal % rakeback (40%, not publicly offered) given to me by another room which makes it more valuebable then playing at stars. The only thing that keeps me playing there is really the software to be honest. I mean, i find it easier to multitable stars then any other softare and consequently allows me to put in more hours and more hands when im playing on stars.
