Not too concerned because of the reputation nitrogen sports has but no reason to hold more than a handful of buyins on a bitcoin site.

The 5 btc freeroll didnt happen due to technical problems, but a weekly 500 chip freeroll came up for today, very nice offer for a bitcoin site starting, hopefully it runs every sunday for a while.

nitrogen has volunteer mods in forum who ban people for such offenses as cap locks so ******ed.

Sure is hard on the reputation of legitimate Bitcoin poker sites, when one of these small startups flounder about like a fish out of water.
Running an online poker site, aint all peaches and cream or there would be lots more of them. But putting up a big freeroll (5 btc is big in the bitcoin poker market) and then not being able to handle the traffic it generates is kinda cheesy, LOL.
I'm curious to see how they handle this. The bitcoin community of gamblers have a very low tolerance for such things... I left SWC over a year ago, because of connectivity and support issues and now i play at Betcoin. I like it much better. I know poker sites are gonna have problems.It is how they handle the problems that makes ALL the difference.

Lolz betcoin not a startup and doesn't have a plethora of problems itself? Including not reimbursing players when tournaments get cancled, paying out wrong amounts in exchanges from dollar to bitcoin, canceling tournaments while in progress just to name a few. I was on board betcoin but jumped off after never ending issues. Gl as the site pro though plo8 u are a fine representative no joke. When khanatrun who is pro supporter of almost every online site said to stay away from betcoin I ran. Swc is the best bitcoin option and it isn't even close due to their admin.

Nitrogens sportsbook is excellent I hope they fix the poker issue. Nitrogen said their would be a makeup for 10 bitcoins hoping it goes off soon. Software is absolutely horrible worst I have ever played on online.

Does anyone have more info about the hacker that is trying to extort Nitrogen? People where complaining of having balances disappear while playing poker this is unconfirmed though and could be a glitch.

Here is a link to an article from last week explaining it. The article also contains a link to a message board where Nitrogen responds to several questions. The hacker who is ddos'ing the site is openly taunting them in the thread, kind of a crazy situation.

I had an issue where my balance disappeared shortly when the system crashed due to what I assume was a DDOS attack. I opened a support ticket and it was resolved very promptly. Despite several small issues the support team has done a pretty good job of being responsive and resolving everything I had a problem with.

The poker software is pretty rudimentary, slightly buggy at times. But I like that it's browser based and I can play on my phone. Still not nearly on the level of SWC as far as technology goes, but quite a few very poor players which makes it appealing.

Yeah, it is pretty crazy. It's all in their thread on BitcoinTalk. He's DD4BC.

He posted screenshots showing that Nitrogen had been paying him 1btc a week for months if he agreed not to DDOS them.

Then they offered to hire him to instead help set up their defense against other DDOS attacks.

Naturally, he declined saying that if they're willing to pay him to do nothing he chooses that instead of having to actually work for the money.

They eventually started ignoring him thinking they had built up enough protection, but in the thread he says they haven't and has been attacking them for short periods to prove it.

Doesn't seem like he's trying to steal bitcoin or anything though, so balances and current bets should be safe at least.

Word on the streets is they are working their way up to the 10btc freeroll they promised after the opening 5 btc one failed to run.

my bitcoin account balance just i finished 15th in last weeks thursday freeroll for 0.0235 bitcoins…. i lost most of that from sports betting to 0.0013.. today i signed in nothing in account even no history of my sports wagers….. i seriously do not trust this site….look it was less than a dollar so no big deal but raises some major red flags

Have you contacted support? The sports betting side has a pretty solid history I don't particularly like their poker side but I am comfortable storing small amounts of my btc there.

Congrats to Nitrogen for being an industry leader for poker real money software. It is truly the worst software ever. No top up button. You can top up but have to manually do this each time.

anybody that has bought freebets is getting robbed. if you use a freebet, you only get the winnings. you don't actually get the freebet included in it. therefore it is much much worse value than the free mbtc. you are much better just cashing in for the mbtc reward.

i cashed in a 800 freebet yesterday. i bet on san antonio to win .196. 800+196. i only get .196, in essense i lost 604 chips. this is a scam! i could have just cashed it for 350 chips. so by risking a bet, i lost money wtf is this system

support and i have come to a resolution. i am satisfied. support on this site has been second to none in my couple months playing here, including pokerstars!
