So do Neil and TJ run the promos and control every aspect for the dollar games? I know they were both irate when the rake was raised on the Euro tables. It makes me wonder if they see zero profits on the Euro tables, and their profit comes solely from the US dollar tables. If so, then they are trying to "steal" Euro players that they actually gain no revenue from in the first place?

Granted all this makes no difference, the promo is still awesome. Just trying to figure out why in the hell they would run a $1 max rake on US Dollar tables, while having double the industry average rake on the Euro tables. It almost seems like the skin owners are saying **** you to each other or something.

Tried to deposit via Visa, and it said I had exceeded the maximum number of payments for that method. The problem is that this was my first time depositing.

Guys, this was posted on Minted's Facebook. I think it's very telling and speaks for its self.

Thank you all for your support with the rake move, we really want this to work and the amount of success could / will be far reaching if we succeed (Neil and the directors have a lot on the line)
I couldn't agree more and although this has not gotten the attention nor response I had hoped, I still hold out hope that the lurkers of 2+2 will help support this. This may be our only chance. It's def the only change we've had in over 10 years.

When I looked this morning (PST) there were 52 NL games from NL20-NL50 and this was only counting 4 max and 6 max. There was also 9 PLO games at the same limits and only counting 6 max. There's a decent amount of HU action and a ton of games from NL4 to NL10 that I didn't count. This is what is going on currently. Come November this could be a loooot more. This is also your chance to play micro stakes HU, as they have HU games at NL4 (and maybe even NL2?). I know many begged FTP and other sites to have them.

I mean, come on guys, even if you can't find a perfect storm or are really limited, there's gotta be something here for you. So play another site at the same time if you need more than 8 tables, or play high stakes (there are some higher stakes on here, I just didnt filter and check out the action).

Also, full ring players, your game is dying and has been for a long time. With micro games abound and a soft site that will have really low rake, this is your chance to learn other games and get yourself more rounded and not so limited so you're stuck to a game that may not even be prevalent in the future.

I was a MTT player on FTP for the last year. Before that I played Limit Stud Hi. After black Friday I played about 60-70 sessions of live poker, and lost 6k. I could not beat the rake, granted I ran horrid, but still. In a 4/8 limit game, I had to make 11.5BB/100 to break even on rake/tip. Absurd. I've played some NL cash on this network and was profitable right out of the gate, I then switched to, and have played some PLO with no experience in the game and have been profitable in that.

Make this happen guys. The implications are... h.u.g.e.

Let me also remind you that if you go with the right skin you'll have 40% rakeback and a up to 25% effective rakeback bonus. This means, as a base (not including other promos and value) you'll start out of the gate at 65%!

There is also no deductions from rakeback/MGR.

It took me three years on FTP to get just over 30% and this was with being a 3 year ironman, a black card member, and using every promo to the max.

Now, $1 rake cap with 40% rakeback and a 20-25% effective bonus that will likely take for ever to clear (this is a good thing! lol) is just...I mean come on. Doesn't get any better as far as not paying much rake.

i'll support as well. really hope they increase the number tables though. even capping it at something like 16 like FTP would be fine. 8 is just too low.

The problem with this is that their software is still subpar. Another thing is, this basically does nothing unless you play 20nl+, and their traffic isn't very strong at those limits consistently. I think charging a 2.5% rake up to $3 instead of 5% up to $1 would have been a much more effective/game-changing promotion, because then you see really do see rake reduced across the board.

If a site wants to see a real increase in traffic, the only way to do it in my opinion is through major software upgrades. I can guarantee a site with small rb%, standard rake, and best software in business will be ten times bigger than a site with great promos, low rake, and below average software.

I still think this is good for the community though. If this drives Everleaf to get more 25nl/50nl/100nl traffic, it's an effective promo.

This is good news and i certainly intend to support it, don't know much about everleaf and never played there but intend to create an account to help this take off.

Anything that reduces rake should be supported imho.

wow this is amazing!!!!

2 things:

a) this scheme will keep the fish in the game longer

b) will decrease profits of RB "pros"
Simply wow... no wonder sites can rake players in rake if even posters with ~2000 posts on 2+2 are this clueless.

I'm 100% going to support this for the sole reason that the rake is being reduced, and if it is permanent then a good portion of my play will be there. anyway, many of these site operators just are out to fleece the clueless this poster and essentially killing off the golden goose, good to see a few without that view and I will play on Minted simply for this reason, hopefully this takes off, poker players are lazy but would be stupid not to support this.

As far as the US sites I think the software is OK. New software is coming soon. It keeps getting pushed back.

I guess my timing is off. Because right now on the $ tables I see exactly one NL game running at NL 50 or above with at least three players. Last night there were zero. I am going to try and support this promotion, though. But there is some serious work to be done to get the traffic up on the $ tables (at least during the evening times on West coast).

Right, this network is majority Euro and peak is Euro time. You're going to have to play then if you want lots of action (and you'll likely want to )

We'll see what kind of traffic can pick up for Americans and their schedule with this (hopeful) push. I imagine people that have 9-5 jobs are going to have a tough time supporting this like they may like to, but it's worth getting up early on the weekends if you can.

Also, be sure this isn't a filter issue. The filters can be touchy and deceiving.

You must have had the filter on or something, I can't even remember the last time there was only 1 50NL+ table running; even now going into late night, there are 6 full tables of 50-200NL going, and 4 HU tables between 200-2000NL.

During the day/mid-afternoon in the US there are easily 15-20+ 50NL+ games going on, with 100 and 200NL slowly gaining momentum.

EDIT: Sorry, didn't see you were referring to $ tables specifically. Let's keep in mind the promo doesn't start until next month, though.

How are the games at Everleaf compared to Merge? Regardless, I'll still be giving the network a shot come November, this promo is too good to pass up.

I have been considering playing on this network recently. However, I play MTTs and SNGs/MTTSNGs, is there any traffic on this network for those game types, and is there any rake reduction/promos for these game types? Thx

there is no better chance to make a transition to rg´s than in a promo like this. it´s just so tough to get into a game, if you have to make 8bb/100 just to get break even.

I'd say value-ful. Could hit some good score with average players in some overlay-tourneys. SNGs are dead, sadly.
Most of the time they offer 8-12 Micro-Satellites (8 Plrs min. 1 Tick grtd.) to the 10-25$ Guranteed Tourneys (2000-3000$ - at Euro evening time) for like $0.25/.50/.75 R/A and really often, only 2 satellites are running. So due to dumb people, about 80-200$ In Grt Tickets are wasted. Come there and bring friends to pick that tickets up!

this promo should be posted in a few other sub-forums like small stakes LHE, SSNL, small stakes PLO, stud/stud8, and omaha 8. the word needs to get out to as many players as possible. mod(s), if i make a thread in some of these forums will my thread get moved?

The US tables are full of regs trying to take each others money. The euro tables are a lot softer, but higher rake.
