Yes NVG. This network is smaller, but it's not that small and actually is a well run network with a lot to offer.

I think there needs to be a show of support for this. This has been announced for Nov 1st through Dec 31st, so it's more than just a silly promotion and it may have future implications and impact on at least this network, if not the online poker landscape all together. We have to know the poker world will watch and I guarantee you every operator is going to want this to be as quiet as possible and hope that it fails miserably. I also expect to see certain posters in this thread.

Here's the thing, this is a bit of an experiment and I too worry that this will attract only good players and will affect game quality. However, this is almost the perfect network to try this on because it's overall soft and has many Italian and other Euro recreational players. This is a network that gets away with charging a 5 Euro cap (~$7) and 6% on their Euro tables, and none of the Euros that infest them complain much afaik.

This network offers 40% rakeback as a maximum and most large skins will offer that, you can also get a 25% effective bonus, so combined with this is... I guess we'll see what "it" is but I will have never paid such a small amount to play before in my life.

Cliffs:
- Everleaf has lowered all US$ tables, limits & games, to having a $1 rake cap from November 1st until Dec 31st
- Could have implications landscape wide, could not (hoping though)
- Asking for everyone to support it, but this is not a network without players so it's not leading people to a ghost town.
- In B4 "but I get less rakeback"

Try to keep this positive guys. Remember, this is a good thing and I know we've been well trained to think an online site can't make it with lower rake because then they can't advertise etc. All you have to do is look at how much money the operators have made to know that it can be lessened.

We've also be taught to fear that it will make games too nitty and unbeatable. I'd argue this makes it more beatable and that grinders are grinding anyway and someone has to win, especially with this being a step closer to zero sum and since pro's are already playing, the only difference is the games will rake less, and people will make more money. Everyone will, including recreational players.

This network is not another WSEX or paynorake or whatever. It has players and you can 8 table fairly easily, and even in games like PLO if you want to. So, I'm hoping we don't hear those comparisons.

If I can't learn, chat and play with the pros, I'm not interested.

Mods, I'm considering asking this moved to internet poker, but only put it here because I think it's big news that should be shared with the most people possible.

However, if you disagree and/or this thread will simply gets eaten up by NVG tards, please move it to IP. Thanks

Terrific!!!

Low stakes grinders will actually be able to make a profit and move up the stakes without needing to earn upwards of 15bbs/100

is this the same Everleaf network that is in financial trouble due to bad debts and loans given to help create start ups on the network?

This would be HUGE for FLHE players. There is currently no FLHE base on everleaf, however, if the FLHE players get on there and play, I can guarantee others will join.

This happens all the time and people are always looking to join games in progress, especially the Euros. If anything it's the Americans that mostly don't want to start tables (if they are not shorthanded/hu players).

Also, 6 max and 4 max is king on this network so like I said, everything is set up for this not to be another wsex failure or nit-fest. No FR games (or very little), no lack of player base, nice network with withdrawals for Americns that can be as low as 24 hours with western union, regulated and audited by the LGA with funds segregated, decent software with new software coming VERY soon, 8 table max to keep the uber grinders at bay yet is enough for serious players, etc etc. I'm sure there's some stuff I missed.

why does their rake remain so high on euro tables?

could someone make a comparison on how this will affect various games/levels on usd tables?

What are their deposit/cashout options, and any recommendations on who to signup with them for rakeback?

I've been toying with opening an account with them for the past few months, but this might just push me in that direction.

Wow. Kudos to Everleaf for trying new stuff.

At least now for a month we will have some comparative data to examine.

FWIW I am of the opinion that rake in terms of bb/100 should be at least equal in the lower stakes games to where the cap is reached much more often maybe NL/200 is where the avg. bb/100 could be set from. iirc 80bb/1000 hands is a steep challenge for any player and is alot to take off the table. More recreational players are in uNL and don't qualify for many of the RB that reduce this as it requires high MGR.

More micro stakes players being winners would be better for the game IMHO.
At least now we may get to test this hypothesis somewhat.

In a nut shell, because they can.

I'd guess mod's wouldn't want us to really go this direction in this thread if we want to keep it in NVG but search around, there's even a sponsored thread on 2+2 for one of them and a couple various reps for others.

A new beta software release should be out soon, but that was delayed a few times already.

Deposit with western union. Everleaf hasn't done anything to deem it untrustworthy yet, quick cashouts and excellent customer service.

All skins can see the Euro tables but not all can see the US $ tables I believe. They recently added some new skins to the network and increased the rake for the Euro NLH tables. This move is to compensate for that. That makes me think that these new skins don't have access to the $ tables.

Hi there.

I'm glad to see this and I can't imagine it's just a marketing gimmick. What I, and many others, have been saying all along is that lowering the rake is good for the site itself. Rake polarizes the players skill level in poker. You have very good players that are good enough to not only earn money from other players, but also beat insanely high rake on top of it. And you have very weak players who don't care about the rake because they expect to lose all their money anyhow. The large rake cuts out the middle class which leads to a scenario where the very skilled players rarely stay at a table with just themselves since they are unlikely to be able to overcome the rake, and fish are fleeced of their money efficiently and with practically 0 chance of running it up. Not to mention the incredibly unfriendly environment it creates for fish where if they sit out to go take a piss, they may often come back to find the rest of the table now sitting out ready to instantly sit in once he sits back in. Imagine if the games were like that when you and I were first learning this game. I doubt we'd be here today.

Wall of text cliffs: good change, doesn't need to be advertised, site will inherently benefit from the change.

^^ lollollol at NOFX with 7200 posts being a shameless shill when anyone who reads the IP forum knows he is just a player who did some work to get rake reduced.

I've played on raise and fold, and frankly their customer support was amazing, and I got a free western union withdraw in like 9 hours from the time I requested it. I stopped playing due to not being able to put in volume but that should change for the better.
