Hi there.
I'm glad to see this and I can't imagine it's just a marketing gimmick. What I, and many others, have been saying all along is that lowering the rake is good for the site itself. Rake polarizes the players skill level in poker. You have very good players that are good enough to not only earn money from other players, but also beat insanely high rake on top of it. And you have very weak players who don't care about the rake because they expect to lose all their money anyhow. The large rake cuts out the middle class which leads to a scenario where the very skilled players rarely stay at a table with just themselves since they are unlikely to be able to overcome the rake, and fish are fleeced of their money efficiently and with practically 0 chance of running it up. Not to mention the incredibly unfriendly environment it creates for fish where if they sit out to go take a piss, they may often come back to find the rest of the table now sitting out ready to instantly sit in once he sits back in. Imagine if the games were like that when you and I were first learning this game. I doubt we'd be here today.
Wall of text cliffs: good change, doesn't need to be advertised, site will inherently benefit from the change.
