I can't find that information detailed on OPR, but here's some data points that might help us hone in on it...
OPR Rankings (tab on top right)
Year 2010: 1,003,253 mtt players (with over 30 results, which presumably should help weed out ppl who've switched accounts)
Year 2009: 819,387 mtt players w/>30 results
OPR Profit Rankings (what's the difference???)
Year 2010: 232,692
Year 2009: 200,897
So we might extrapolate either 32K or 180K new players per year (def need to figure out whether to use "OPR Rankings" or "Profit Rankings"...)
Hence 32K/365 = 87per day (OR) 180K/365 = 493per day
This way of calculating doesn't tell about cash game players deciding to take a few stabs, nor about turney players that move to cash games, but its probably safe to roughly net those to zero. It also overcounts b/c some players bust and never come back, but i presume that's not too many either.
Does this seem reasonable? Thots?
