I'm sure I'm not the only one, but I have like 20+ options of nearby Wi-Fi connections to choose from (all in NJ) and still get geolocated as not in NJ. If they're triangulating via cell phone towers, or whatever method they use, then NYC must still be interfering.

The wireless router isnt enough (I have the same situation). Your desktop needs to have wi-fi enabled, even if you are connecting via ethernet. Hence the possible need for the adapters.

However, when I logged in to the cashier, I get this error:

I can't be the only one who's having this issue. Wondering if this is what everyone who's out of state sees.

I have a Hard wired PC (no wifi card) with Verizon wireless modem I use only for my iPad. No apparent remote programs on PC. Bought USB wifi adapter and can see 6-8 other signals in my neighborhood. However, not recognized being in NJ by the above mentioned four.

Learned about and downloaded 888 last night, tried to connect from home but no luck.

Took iPad to work today and connected first try thru company's wifi.

Any insights as to why I can connect via iPad away from home.
Well the wi-fi coverage must be better at your office is my first instinct, which is entirely possible.

However, IPads have a different source of geo location data than pcs, so that obviously matters too.

Did you try your ipad from home wifi too?

What the hell is AskCertegy? I just called them to see if they could help my check go through and they were absolutely worthless. Whatever model they are using to predict availability of funds must be awful. I officially have no way to deposit funds at this point.

I had this problem where I was asked to call Certegy. I made first deposit using ACH and it worked. I tried to deposit again using the same bank details but it did not work and I was advised to contact Certegy.

I figured they were just waiting for the first deposit to clear from my bank account and waited it out. After the transaction showed up in my bank account I tried again and still got the same error.

I contacted WSOP support and they gave me a number to call Certegy. I called and the lady I spoke to said that she does not have any additional information as to why the transaction was rejected. She put me on hold for a few minutes and then removed the block on my account and it worked.

Is this your first deposit?

Anyone know what happened to the $200 buy-in $50k tournament this Sunday on Borgata Poker?

They were running $5 satellites all day yesterday. Went to deposit to try and qualify and now the tournament and all satellites are gone.

41% of people seem to not be able to be successfully located, but they see this as a good thing rather than a problem:

I've been reading and waiting, but not even going to try until things are ironed out. Some of my friends are casual players. When they can easily jump on and play without going through hoops and extra effort, which I know they won't bother with, that'll be good enough for me too.

I think they are a company like "telecheck" that tells a merchant whether or not to approve your check payment.

I was not able to be verfied as being in NJ when I tried from inside Borgata a few days ago. Same with multiple other casinos in town. Sigh

Does anyone know if you can sign up in person at the casinos? For example if I am at Ceasars in AC can I set up a WSOP account there if I am having trouble with verificaton when trying to open an account online?

Also can you fund online accounts at the casino cages also?

This is preciously what happened to me, but I wasn't offered by staff to remove any block. I thought it was because the funds didn't clear as well. How did you get her to remove the block?

I don't think so. The verifications have to be done online (info goes directly to the ID verification service who do the check). Site personnel dont have direct access to all your personal ID data (at least they shouldn't)

That was me. Haven't received it yet, but when I do I'll test it out and will report back with the results.

Maybe a pic will help since people seem to be missing that Borgata DOES have a deposit bonus of course: (No code required)

41% is just embarrassing. 4.1% would have been embarrassing. I really hope the sites don't do any real advertising until this is done, because it's gonna be seen as a disaster if there's a lot of casual interest that gets driven away because it simply doesn't work.

I'll say it again: The average player, who wants just wants to have fun and donate a few bucks, isn't going to spend more than two minutes trying to get this to work. He's not waiting on the phone or on live support chat for an hour, he's not buying any new equipment for his PC, he's not finding some internet forum to ask knowledgeable people for help.

Played against Apathy on wsop.com last night. He Was sitting at 1/2 and 2/4. Curious if it was Peter Jetten in NJ ATM or just a fanboy who signed up with that screen name. I know Jetten is Canadian, but maybe he is in NJ ATM.

This! Exactly!! I hope the sites are working hard to iron out all of the issues to make it very easy to register and have their location verified.

Thats the truth. I am far more tech savvy than almost any other person that is going to be trying to use this product. I have spent 6 days with little to no help from support and still no luck getting anything to work.

Position 4 in the Borgata live chat queue btw. That's 1:30 PM. I was in 15th at 8:30 am. This is absurdly bad.

Totally agree, not going to go out and buy another router or USB adapter . No need to play poker online for this much of a hassle , I'm just trying to burn up the 50 they gave me for signing up and can't even do that. Bottom line is I'm located In jersey well with in state boundaries they need to figure out a resolution.

well since most people are complaining, I signed up for party and wsop and had 0 issues with location or anything. I also deposited instantly with ACH on wsop. I live near clifton. Every once in a while I get a window on party and it says we cannot verify your location but right after I get another that says location verified.

I'm not sure why she offered to remove the block. I asked her why exactly my transaction is getting rejected and she said their automated system makes the decision. She said she will remove the block and did not promise it would work. It worked for me but keep getting the error if I want to deposit again.
