Are you able to play poker with the $50..... Somebody mentioned before they could only play blackjack with it. Just wondering since I received the $50 and was planning on using it when I got back to NJ.

Just played my first SNG on Borgata, and a couple of confirming notes:

When you register, if the program hangs, but you get a confirmation email, just kill the program, and restart it, and login.

Yes, I got my $50. (Registered yesterday)

Got the "not in NJ messages" for a day. Went to the PC, and removed an old Cisco VPN program, and Webex (just to be safe), and all was well. Note that my IP address locates in my town in central NJ (using FIOS), but I have only 1 weak Wifi in the neighborhood.

Before I figured it out myself, I emailed Borgata, and got a lengthy reply, which I'm posting below. This is my first post here, so if I'm violating some guideline - length or otherwise, my apologies. Note the item about cell phone locating - Borgata says it was not being used during the soft start - so maybe that will help things in the future.

Finally, I heard Ultimate advertising on WFAN this morning. FAN and ESPN radio are going to get lots of advertising money!

Dear Mr xxxx,

Thank you for contacting Borgata Online Gaming Customer Service.

I would like to first of all welcome you to the site.

I am sorry to hear that you are receiving this message despite the fact that you are indeed located in New Jersey. We are currently in a testing phase of our New Jersey software which will continue until end of November 25th. The SMS verification options is not live yet as we are in the testing period and is not required. Below you may find useful information from the respective department about the message you receive.

First of all they have asked for you to make sure that you are using a WiFi Internet connection. We require you to use WiFi Internet access if you are using a desktop or laptop computer. You cannot validate your location on a wired internet connection.

We require you to validate your location using a plug-in tool from Geocomply. This verifies your location accurately and you must install this tool to validate from our website. Simply go to www.borgatacasino.com and click on "Play in Browser" and then click on "Play Now". After this you will be displayed a message about the plug-in and will need to click on the "Do Please make sure that you are using Internet Explorer or Google Chrome as a browser and not Mozilla Firefox. Keep in mind that your account is one and the same for both of our products the Casino and Poker.

In order to make sure that it is installed you will need to check the below places on your computer by going to the Windows "Start" menu and then click on "Computer or My Computer".

• On Windows 32 bit: C:\Program Files\GeoComply\gc-browser-plugin-client\2.1.3.2
• On Windows 64 bit: C:\Program Files (x86)\GeoComply\gc-browser-plugin-client\2.1.3.2

As soon as you open the "2.1.3.2" folder there should be two files inside. As long as you see them inside this means that the plug-in is installed.

Further to this difficulty we would like to let you know that you should not be running any ‘Virtual Network Computing' software on your computer. In case you are running a ‘Virtual Network Computing' software you will need close/disable it in order to be able to login and resume play.

What is ‘Virtual Network Computing'?
Virtual Network Computing is often described as "remote desktop" software which is a graphical desktop sharing system to remotely control another computer.

Some of the widely used VNC software's are; TeamViewer, Real VNC, GoToMyPC, Cisco VPN, GoToMeeting and etc.

Below I have provided you with a link to the Geo Location FAQ:

https://poker.theborgata.com/support/faq.html

In case you have further questions, we will be more than happy to assist you. We are available 24 hours a day.

Thank you for choosing us as your online gaming site.

Sincerely,
Alexander,

My Comodo is really not liking Borgata's software right now.

So now I'm registered and have no idea if I'm getting the $50. wtf.

Also, why are they emailing me every time I log in?

I see a few others but they aren't that strong. I called WSOP support and they think that's the issue. I guess I'll have to get a wifi dongle and see if that helps get stronger wifi signals. Thoughts?

Well played for about an hour on Borgata tonight with no technical issues and no boots for not being in NJ. Much better than yesterday when I was getting booted every 10 mins.

Someone upthread had suggested making sure your cellphone is not also connected to your wifi... so I switched the phone connection from WiFi to mobile 3G. Not sure if it was just a coincidence but it seemed to help.

I just bought the best wifi usb adapter I could buy today. Came home and have only been disconnected 3 times in the last 3 hours, each for a minute in length. That's not great. But I couldn't even get on yesterday from here.

If you are seeing other connections, I'm not sure that is the issue. I only see a single one bar connection on mine besides my own. Sometimes there is another connection too, but always one bar. FTR, hanging by threads here.

Are we sure that neighbor's wifi signals are required? I know that is the consensus but it just seems crazy to me.

I got disconnected repeatedly yesterday even with 4 good wifi signals besides my own. I can understand using the users' WiFi signal to locate... but requiring access to neighbors' as well? Just seems crazy. Has a rep from the sites actually said you need other WiFi signals besides your own?

I'm not even seeing text. All I see are a few graphics. It worked the first time it was loaded. After that it was a dud. I've uninstalled and re-installed with the same results. First it works and then it never works again.

I'm going to AC for a few days next week, staying at Showboat. Hoping I wont have a problem getting my location verified. Does anybody know what sites do cage cash in's and cash out's? How long do you have to wait to get a cage cash out? Can you request a check mailed to a different state?

I would ask PokerTracker support, but I assume they'll say we don't support the NJ sites. At least I saw that's the stance Holdem Manager is taking.

My question was a simpler one than what I think you were trying to answer. It's probably trivial for you guys that have been already playing multiple skins, but I just figured it out. You can add more than one directory for it to find hand histories for a network, one for Borgata and another for Party. Never had to do that before, so I wasn't aware of it.

Regarding your comment on combining different names, I think what you are looking to do is create an alias. If you're under the "View Stats" tab, if you click on the little avatar of a person next to "Player:" and your screen name, you can create an alias for that screen name, and I believe it will combine all of those results under the one screen name. Is that what you were looking to do?

Party Poker only provides software for Borgata, they don't run the skin.
FWIW, this could be done either way, and has been done both ways by other networks. The vast majority of networks won't let you use the same name on different skins. On Microgaming, however, you would set up an account on another skin, and it would figure out you already had an account on a different skin - it would have you confirm that, and then give you the same screen name. Not sure if they still do it that way.

This may be a requirement of the DGE. On WSOP there is a box that you can check to disable this.

All of these questions can be answered on HM web site. They have either videos or step by step instructions on how to set these up.

What are the details of the program? I have yet to be able to play on that site yet.

They were either having deposit issues with software, my bonus $50 wasn't released or they exceeded 500 people.

I talked to the borgata help line and speaking only about the borgata site, I would create an account name and a different screen name to be displayed at the tables. Is this correct? I never did create an account yet.

When I signed up, my account name became my screen name. I don't remember seeing a place where I could select a screen name separate from the account name.

I am at a loss to explain why my many password attempts were rejected. Password strength said 'good', but there was still an 'X' on the right. The error message did not specify what was lacking in my password. Now, an e-mail from WSOP support contradicts the pop-up requirements:

"I am sorry that you are having trouble with your password during registration.

Please note that we ask that your password should not exceed more than eight (8) characters, which means your password should include capital letters, common letters and numbers.

I hope this information become helpful to you and you are able to access your account."

WTF, pop-up says 8-12 characters, nothing about caps.

Now that the "soft play" period has ended, it's going to be interesting if all the issues people were having logging in and getting knocked off will continue. I doubt it.

I hope everyone enjoys the wild ride we are about to partake on.....

Tried logging in on Borgata/WSOP today. Same issues as before. I'm really hoping they launch the mobile tracking today as that should allow me to play without issue. Btw, don't expect much help from Borgata tech support.

I called yesterday and got a hold of some lady with a strong indian accent and was asked ifmy wi-fi was on. I said yes. I was asked if I had any 3rd party programs running. I said no. I was then put on hold. She came back and said "try again later. It should be fixed". That was it. Nothing more. Still no reply from Party or Borgata email that I sent 3 days ago.

I did receive an email reply from WSOP but it basically told me everything I already know and that I'm screwed. This is really dejecting as someone who followed the bill and supported it by emailing and calling my legislators. Casual players are not going to tolerate all these hoops to jump through.

Unless I completely missed this during the soft launch, it looks like the borgatapoker/casino website has a wealth of FAQ/support information now that we're fully live, including details on SMS verification, etc.

I emailed Borgata about cash outs and got nothing. I'm coming from out of state and will only be near/at the Borgata for a few days but want to keep playing without going back to the Borgata before I leave to cash out. Does anyone know if they will send me a check out of state, do an E-Check (I see it as a deposit option), or let me cash out with Skrill? Only Borgata cage is listed on the site but that can't be right....

No matter what I try WSOP.com will not allow me to create an account because any password I try is invalid. I emailed support and they emailed back saying to make it 8 characters in length with a capitol and a number.

I emailed back and here was the reply:
