I'm curious about this too.

Time to grind tomorrow now that I have made sure it works fine on Windows.
Got kicked out on Mac a million times too..fix needed!

WSOP stopped for the night in the middle of a hand... Only had 2 cents in the pot but still not something that should happen on a scheduled shutdown

How not? They gave plenty of notice that it was going to shutdown. It is NJ law that they need to shutdown. Rules are rules and they posted lots of notices too. Chances are you're going to get your 2 cents back anyway.

I just signed up for Party Poker. Free $15. Figure I'll check them out now. Not in love with WSOP or 888. I don't think Borgata credited me anything. Betfair and Ultimate couldn't verify me when I tried. 8am tomorrow!

LOL. I suspect that it's got something to do with the fact that "We have a number of open requests to add support for networks that are likely far more popular currently than the New Jersey sites will be."

It's amazing to me how many people are asking about tracker compatibility already; perhaps they don't understand that it's a little more complicated than pressing a button to make it work. They need to get working hand histories, an understanding of how they're written and stored, and I'm sure lots of other details. And doing a lot of work on setting up tracking for sites that are just opening and may be changing their software multiple times in the coming months seems like a waste of time - especially when you factor in that we don't even know how the competition is going to shake out. Will there be enough players to support all the sites? Will some struggle to survive, will some close, will there be mergers? Who knows!

The more I think about it, the more ridiculous the whole concept of trackers working with any of these sites any time soon seems.

pretty funny how im allowed to play on wsop.com...yet im not allowed to deposit since it says my ip address is in maryland. I live a few miles outside Atlantic City. Talked to support and asked them how am i allowed to play on your site yet not deposit. Support was pretty much laughable and put me on hold for a long time then responded "you are not playing for real money"..when i was playing their $100 freeroll. I know there will be plenty of issues in the early going..just wish the support people knew what they were talking about. Hopefully it is fixed before the real launch.

Here's an article that describes the GeoLocation technology that NJ is using, which is WiFi based. It's explains the difference from what is used in Nevada, and sounds like they are still having issues there - New Jersey iGaming Sites Using Wi-fi Plugin to Locate Players

So sounds like the mechanism we're using here in NJ should be better, once the kinks are worked out.

My guess is that your ISP is showing your location as out of state? This can happen. When you use some IP trackers like the one I linked to, does it show your correct location? I talked to ppl tonight that used att and some showed n Texas, some in New York, and some in Missouri. They were all physically in NJ, one person was sitting right next to me!

Not sure they would be depending on IP's, but its possible. If you have 5 connections showing, its more than enough to triangulate your wifi.

Connecting from home or a public Wi-Fi hotspot?

Thanks saw it just as you posted (whatever VPN should have been in the list tho.)

My eyes are crossing from reading too many lists of people's process pages, time to quit for the night

Nothing is still online right?

And BTW, this is the perfect time for the hackers to open it up.

Not trying to crack that can of worms, but F it I will lol.

Straight doubtful and not to be all conspiracy, but if there was ever a time to get on and kill it with mad different independent accounts as a hacked SU, this would be it. Would go nearly unnoticed and could probably score a quick 20k over a few days and then peel unnoticed.

Hopefully this gets seen even though it's 4am but I figured I'd offer an update.

Didn't log in to wsop on my mac today hopefully someone did and can confirm that the location issues are still happening (i live 4-5 miles away from ny like 2 million residents lol)

Logged on to ultimate with my PC and first 30 seconds were rough but then I was tracked and stayed logged in.

So my room is in a basement but I have multiple neighbors with wireless networks very near by. Whats a simple hardware fix so I can at last see these networks with my computer?

eta: Moving my computer didn't really help much.

http://compnetworking.about.com/od/w...dwifirange.htm

This article describes how to extend the range of your own wireless access point, but the solutions could be adapted to extending the range of the access point detection of your computer (i.e., your computer's wifi adapter).

You might try a device like this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...131123114900:s

You don't have to actually connect your computer to one of the wireless signals this device detects. It should just boost the wifi signals in its range to allow your computer to detect your neighbors' signals, thus solving your problem.
