Has anyone been having geolocation issues with WSOP-NJ while pokertracker4 was running? I’m not trying to use pokertracker4 on wsop, but I’ll have multiple sites running and when I have PT4 running WSOP won’t allow me to play. Is there anyway around this?

As far as I know there's no way around it. The idiots at WSOP and 888 have made it harder to play on their site. I'm using one computer for PS, PP etc running a hud, and my laptop to run 888 and WSOP. But I'm playing far fewer tournaments on those sites now. Very frustrating.

Gotcha, thanks for the help. I reached out to WSOP and their recommendation was to just uninstall PT4 which wass not the help I was looking for haha.

Does anyone else have problems with getting disconnected frequently on Borgata and Party Poker? Support can't seem to figure out why it keeps happening to me. In the beginning there would be a "ding" sound and a red message would pop up that would say "achievement earned" and then boot me. I sent them a video of this happening and they seemed to have done something. The red message no longer shows up and no "ding", and it doesn't happen quite as much, but I still get disconnected every couple orbits

Does wsop-NJ allow for chat? or chops in tournies?

I’ve had a similar issue after upgrading to Windows 11. Partypoker NJ would shut down and close all tables randomly. This happens a few times a week. Don’t have a solve unfortunately but may want to check to see if it started happening after a computer or software update.

I just gave up. It was happening every few hands and made the sites unplayable. Will play elsewhere. It doesn't happen on ACR, WSOP or PS so that's good enough for me

not sure about chops, I don't play there often, but they got rid of chat quite a while ago. Doubt if it will every come back. I'm sure it saves them a lot of grief, and money.

every single site should have the option of automated icm or equal chops if everyone clicks. they used to have that on stars nj and in fact it still looks like its there but when u click it it does not work at all and asking them to manually icm or equal chop used to be fine as representatives used to be able to handle that but as of last night i could not chop 3 tourneys hu and messaging them they sent me generic copy n paste responses worthy of 1$ a day customer svc agents from the pits of 3rd world countries. i feel like both stars and wsop have absolutely the bare minimum amt of people working at all times in customer svc with the absolute nut low iqs. i guess thats all i can expect even though sheldon adelson is long gone bc no dignity?

did NJ borg/betmgm remove the weekly grind for anyone else? support is saying its only available to you if you get an email for it, but betmgm support is the absolute worst so idk

In the discord chat, weekly grind coming back next week. They had an outage earlier in the week so they wanted to make sure it ran smoothly so the promo wouldn’t get messed up.

Hello, I play online MTTs. I might be forced to move to NJ (Atlantic city) because of my gf's job. Currently I am able to play Bodog, ACR, GG (VPN), Global poker. Chico. Among these 5 sites there is enough action for me to make a decent living. I have three questions:

1) on which of these I will be still able to play?

2) when combined the legal online sites in New Jersey and some live tournaments is it possible to make a living in New Jersey as an online MTT pro?

3) how exactly should I be filing my taxes as an online poker pro? or the legal sites like 888 will automatically deduct the tax?

Techincally you can't play on any of the non-legislated sites. Now how that is enforceable is iffy. But you can definitely make a good living playing online MTTs here, there's enough between WSOP, Borgatapoker, and Pokerstars to make above avrage AC salar. You can get an idea by looking at some of the PG&C posts of NJ regulars (search redsox who is/was full time MTT player).

Finally Taxes, you should look at the taxes section, shouldn't be different from playing online elsewhere in US. The poker sites will issue you an end of year report, but generally no W2s are served unless for big scores or table games.

Can everyone please start emailing WSOP NJ and request to have the removal/restriction of the casino on the WSOP NJ poker client per request by the player.

Many players like myself don't want the casino available to our poker funds. Other poker sites will restrict the casino per request. At the very least wsop should change the responsible gaming section so Poker and Casino are separate so players can set different limits to each area as desired. Many players like myself want a higher limit for poker than they do for the casino and doesn't help if they are combined.
