Is FR running or mostly 6 max? Assuming games are tough right now because it's still soft launch

I signed up for Borgata first and got no bonus at all, which is why I switched and created a party poker account. I just double checked and I still have no balance on my borgata account.

Yeah, I never heard back from B support, so I just created the account. was hung up on the "create acct" screen, but it went through. I am playing now, and there was $50.01 in my account upon login. I wonder if it is truly real and our money. Software is not too good right now. Couldn't multi-table, can't see hands when AI, at showdown, etc. Lots of other things not working as well. They will get better.

Well tried signing up for Borgata but it hung up endlessly during verification. However when I closed and logged back in, seemed to work fine (even had my $50 bonus). Played about 50 hands plus a SnG with no issues.

Honestly I am just surprised at all the glitches with the poker sites themselves (not talking geolocation etc.) For ex the Borgata lobby is terrible. But if they are using Party as their provider, why all the problems? Why doesn't it just look like a rebranded Party lobby?

Using Party as their provider IS the problem.... It's the exact same everything as the ROW site which has an absolutely terrible lobby. When I'm playing games (I'm outside the US quite a bit) I have to restart the client all the time because when I try to switch between games in the lobby it bugs out and freezes everything. The overall software is decent, just extremely buggy.

Ah I have not played Party since before black Friday, never liked their software very much but as I remember it the lobby certainly seemed much better than what is currently on the Borgata site.

Will have to check out WSOP and Ultimate after the official launch, maybe their software will be better - only joined Borgata early because of the $50 bonus.

In my personal opinion, the Party software is still better than anything else out there. Having played UP and WSOP in Vegas and 888 out of the country. The lobby issues are somewhat recent and hopefully will be fixed before too long. The software is still a lot ahead of the other offerings. They also have the name recognition with the pre 2006 crowd and the Sunday tournament schedule is pretty decent. ($215 $50K, $215 $20K, $100 $10K etc). I can see them being the immediate best site followed by WSOP. With the WSOP name recognition maybe they overtake Party at some point.

Again, just my opinion, but I think Party made a great decision to leave the US and has positioned itself to at the very least be the #1 software provider for future states and the site we're all pooled on together through various Borgata like skins.

Party has said that it was the wrong decision to leave the US market. They lost A LOT of money and market share by not staying in.

And we progress - I decided not to include that little venture into SJ although the score made it appropriate... if the Devils had won -

In the short term definitely the wrong decision. In the long term.... I'm not sure. You don't see Stars in NJ do you? I hope Stars does come back to the US, but they very well may not. If Party can scoop up a bunch of states before Stars gets here (if they ever do) it will be a lot more level playing field.

Did you enter your Borgata card number anywhere, or did they just link it up through your information? Did it come up as Black right away, or were you Red at first?

So thumbing through this thread it appears that Party Poker and Borgata are two different sites with the same player base as is 888 and WSOP? What is the purpose of this..... why have 2 skins per casino. I just cant wrap my head around this for US NJ regulated poker. I live in PA very close to NJ and plan to visit quite frequently to play after the official launch if their is a half decent playerbase.

followed partypokers e-mail instructions, once i downloaded the client and then made a username it said USA players can only play play money. Did i do something wrong, today is a 24hours day, correct?

What is Borgata using for geolocation? Everything on WSOP/888 is fine for me, but Borgata tells me I'm not in the state.

Is WSOP seriously saying that I need my neighbor's wifi connections to be open and password free? I mean come on there has to be a better way.

To update, Borgatapoker is kicking me off every ten mins or so but it's immediately finding me in NJ within 2 seconds(literally) so I don't miss action or need to log out. This is on my mac.

Ultimate on my PC hasn't kicked me out.

WSOP on my mac wasn't even letting me in but then i re did my email and now I can play but get kicked out every so often and need to quit the software (which is terrible btw)

So far I'm happiest with Ultimate, however playing on a crappy laptop vs my mac isn't fun but hey whatever gotta live with it until the bugs come out i guess.

I am trying to compile info on Party Poker. Does it not offer any VIP program? Is the achievement section all they have? Also, they are not sharing liquidity with Borgata?

Thanks in advance.

Edit: After major digging I found this page but the store 404's and it does not list any benefits. I have noticed that their site seems like it is not finished yet so maybe this is another part of it that needs to be completed.

No, you don't have to be connected by wifi to play. You just have to be playing on a wifi-enabled computer/device, so the geo-location works.

The poker software uses the wifi adapter to ping wifi access points nearby to geo-locate your computer/device. This can be done even if you are not actually connected through any of the wifi access points. If you don't have a wifi adapter on your computer/device, you will need one. The sites might send you one for free if you ask, or you can pick up a usb wifi adapter for under $10 at places like walmart, tigerdirect, bestbuy, etc.

Yeah it bothers me. I had the borgata poker application all filled out but didn't hit the send button. I called the 800 number and all that info goes overseas to the partypoker company. The servers ain't even in NJ. I figure all are like this and I have to think about it more. I still want to call wsop.com.
