This is crap Neteller, no info about the old card being replaced and new ones that needed to be applied for - And then the increased fees

Now i need to wait up to 21 business days to get the card - damn you Neteller!

As some of you suggested a bank wire may be better in the future

Globe Wallet card was the nuts. This new 2.9% currency exchange fee sucks. What the hell is Neteller thinking?

Bank wire currency exchange fee is only 1.75% if you are Neteller VIP.

Not only cards fees have been raised. Looking at bank wire transfer fee I noticed it is $10, when it used to be $1, exchange fee apart.

God, that's a 1000% fee raise!!!!

What is this people thinking!?!?!

Was it also $0 before for VIPs? Or are we, standar Neteller customers, paying the lowering of VIPs fees?

I have an extended account, that means I can hold up to $48k in the account. What are the requisites to became VIP? I haven't found any help in the website.

There wasn't Neteller VIP until 2007 or 2008. It's been $0 for VIPs since late winter or spring 2008. I don't know what it takes to become VIP. I opened my Neteller account late May or early June 2004 and my total money transfers between gambling sites and Neteller are about $300k lifetime. They made me a VIP, when Neteller VIP program started.

Anyone know what happens to the money on the old card when it expires? Do you have to manually deposit the money back to your account?

I think they have come aware of the actual financial crisis, where no one is able to manoeuver too much, and decided its time to rip off their customer since they don't have a place to go.

Is up to us to show them they are wrong... or that they're right.

You paid $4 to get $1000 (250$ per $1 fee). No you'll pay $6 to get $300 ($50 per $1 fee).

Let alone the withdraw fee - that means the fee increased by 500% (5 times)!

Do you have a link to the new T&C ?

Can someone post a link to the website with the prices? I had it up, but after I closed it I cannot find anywhere that I can find the prices of their services on those cards any longer.

I own the old Globe Wallet Card, which is still valid until October 2009. I'm trying to get someone from Neteller Customer service, to find out what this means.

I got the same. Sounds like they are cancelling all the Globewallet cards. What a disaster - the new card is abysmal, and they need you to tick the box which says: "By the way, we might take all your money and you have no recourse".

OMFG!!!

I think it's time to set-up a petition!

If you are VIP try to get higher to some manager and talk to him directly ...
... otherwise send them some offer (maybe $$ you think the card is worth - remember you save on fees) and ask them to forward it to someone competent in this matter.

(or just tell them you close your account if that e-mail isn't a mistake ... bud I doubt it'll help)

BTW. don't tell them you want GW or nothing. There's always a chance they change the new card towards the old set-up (what would be fine as well I think).

the sad thing is I thought they'll come along with a new card in a year or so again so I could avoid this overpriced "best-priced prepaid card" (omg it's like when they call the Cuba the Island of Freedom)

I spoke to support today.

They said the current EUR to AUD rate is 1.71. Plus 2.95% conversion fee.

Forex is 1.78.
My bank buys at 1.75.

This is ridiculous.

There is no dormancy fee now. That's the exact reason I obtained the new Net+ Prepaid MasterCard.

From the page you linked:

Point of Sale (POS) free free free free
ATM charge per withdrawal 3 6 4 6
Foreign Exchange (at ATM or POS) 2.95% 2.95% 2.95% 2.95%
Dormancy Fee (if not used in any month) none none none none

I love it for buying anything and everything by MasterCard. I am totally happy to pay under 3% as a fee for such easy access to my money.
