Over the past few days both me and my wife have attempted using BitCoins to deposit to our Neteller accounts. I tried first for $200. Immediately after sending the money the transaction said declined in Neteller but processing in CoinBase ( the Ewallet I use). After a few minutes it said completed. I again contacted Neteller and they acted as if I wasn't being honest. So I spent the next hour sending screenshots and forwarding emails and chat logs from Coinbase. Finally Neteller reached the conclusion that the money was somehow "lost". I am glad I made a small test deposit first instead of my intended bankroll for Stars. Seeing as I am overseas and my wife is in London right now on a mini vacation I didn't tell her right away. So I called her earlier today and she had the exact same issue but for $50. We again went thru the same process and got the same result. Has anyone else ran into this? I would def stay away from using BitCoin there until they get this worked out. The reps aren't knowledgeable at all about how bitcoins work or how all transactions are verified. The rep I spoke with somehow thought I could dispute the transaction on my end once It was completed. Now they are saying that since they have no record of it I and just SOL basically. That seems a bit non-standard. I am never quick to bash or make negative statements about a person or company. But I don't know what other recourse I have seeing as CoinBase shows a clear transaction log of the BTC being sent to them and accepted. Every item is exactly how it should be. Any thoughts?
Neteller are registered with the FCA and the IoM FSC, so they should have a complaints procedure.
I would def tell Neteller that if the issue isn't resolved, you will write to the FCA/FSC about a serious payment system failure and Neteller's failure to properly investigate.
