I have used sportsbook.com for close to 12 years and have never had a problem with them (even back when some weren't getting paid). I made a withdrawl on black friday and it has never taken more than 8 days for it to hit my account. Today is the 12th day and still nothing. It has been processed and they say it has been sent to processors, but I still have nothing. I also made a cashout via check on the 22nd and it is still pending. This is unusual because it is usually only pending for maybe 3 days. Anyway, I am a little nervous about me actually geting paid, and certainly would not be contemplating ways to deposit money like some on here are, but I will let everyone know if and when I actually do recieve money.

Wish I knew why the 2nd part of my Visa deposit is getting declined, anyone ever have issues with this?
04-28-2011 , 01:16 AM
Seems me, Greear, and Hawkeye all had similar issues. I was attempting to resolve via Merge chat. I linked from RPM to Merge cashier, so I thought it was RPM chat... but it wasn't. Anyway, Merge help could not help, but RPM chat got my money into my account in 20 minutes. So, props to RPM. Doesn't provide many answers to the Carbon or Lock customers though.

Hey guys. I'm going to choose carbon poker as oppose to lock poker and will deposit by WU at the place.

My question is do i just sign up for carbon poker at the regular website or should i sign up through some affliate. I will get 35 percent rakeback automatically right?

No it is not automatic. You need to sign up with a rakeback code.

Yes u should use an affiliate and get extra value. Look for personal rake chases
which can add 10% plus to your effective rb.

follow instructions on affiliate site.

i'm deciding between Lock and Carbon...Lock is offering the ipad2, but carbon seems to have a better vip rewards system.

can you tell me your reasons for choosing carbon over lock?

Can someone who deposited by WU at the place and not online tell me how much it cost to deposit and how much they deposited? I would prefer to know from someone who deposited between $500-$1000.

I know a person said it cost $12 to deposit $100 but i won't be depositing this little.

Thank you for the detailed post. That paints a good picture. My suspicion was that they were still in business because they were small and the DOJ had bigger fish to try - that seems to be the case.

This is incorrect. On Carbon, if you reach the highest VIP level, then you will get 35% RB + whatever other bonuses. The difference is you earn 10 vs 6.5 - points or something, I don't remember the exact lingo, but it's mentioned in the merge regs thread in ssnl.

Well you can do it that way- but you lose so much money until you hit ether you will fall over dead once you do the math and figure it out.

So when I say you need a rb code its for your own good, not a technicality.

Even if you can hit Ether 1st month at Carbon for example, it doesnt go into effect until the next month. You get 10% rb on minimum of 2500 in rake that month as opposed to 35%.

Sound good to you?

LOL, sarcastic much?

But really, she's right. Until you actually reach ether, you are just losing tons of money (paid daily into your account), if you don't get rakeback.

There is more than the point difference to consider. Alex is right, until you make ether then you are losing a ton of money.

EDIT:FutureInsight posted basically the same while I was typing this out. Just wanted to point out why I repeated her.

Skin: PDC
Processor: UWM
Withdraw date: 4/24
Received date: 4/25

Just thought I'd post my cashout experience so far (via UMW)...

4/26 - requested Cashout
4/27 - received email requesting documentation for identity verification
4/27 - submitted documentation, confirmed this submission with support on live chat
4/28 - received email confirming my identity verification
4/28 - cashout still shown as "pending" in the cashier

I was informed by support that they are pretty swamped with requests and could expect a delay in processing. Despite the delay, the live support has been really helpful throughout the process. I will post an update as soon as the status changes in my cashier and the funds show up in my UMW account.

Yeah... these merge skins are letting a huge opportunity pass them by here. They need to quickly improve the withdrawal process and stop using Black Friday as an excuse. I'm watching feedback like these very carefully before depositing any money on Merge. I have not seen many people say they have successfully withdrawn after Black Friday from Merge. What is the deal? The lack of response from the Merge sites is very disappointing.

If you are expecting fast Cashouts, I would honestly suggest that you not deposit because there is a good possibility that you will be disappointed. I would also say that this is probably the case for any US facing Site/Network.

I do commend you for doing your homework before depositing.

My bankwire requested on April 24 has posted in my bank. Very impressive 4 day turnaround! Will post if and when fees are assessed.

Yeah, I'm sure it's really easy to improve the withdrawal process in the current environment. I would much rather cashouts take 4 weeks and they stay in the U.S. market. We need to be realistic. Regular players should expect multiple weeks for cashouts and try to cashout as infrequently as possible, imo. That's the world we live in, and I'm just hoping it doesn't get worse, i.e. Merge leaves the U.S. market.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Requested 530 dollar cashout from Carbon on I believe the 24th or 25th. It is in my UMW account as we speak, went through today. All the worry is unfounded. I, for one, am impressed...this site had me ready to wait 4-6 weeks. Hopefully I'm not an outlier and even receives their funds quickly. One thing that will help, obviously, is to get both UMW and Carbon accounts verfied asap. My carbon account was verified 8 hours after I sent the docs. Carbon has given me no reason to be anything but very pleased with them.

I never said Merge should get us our money faster, I understand that will be difficult right now. I said they need to improve the process... there are many compaints on 2+2 about pending withdrawals and zero responses from their customer service. Basically, merge should try to emulate PS and not FT when it comes to customer service.
