People aren't going to compromise accounts with $$ in them or rakeback payments to publicly investigate something that doesn't impact them to a deep extent. And even if it does impact them deeply, they probably will tend to look at it privately, as they will want to have their cake and eat it too.
4) A quick look at the O8 forum confirms it's not a massive community.
5) The other thread made it clear that this thread should be used for substantial discussion.
Given this thread is huge, I wouldn't say that people are trying to bury this universally. I'd imagine the people concerned have looked into it, and many people have privately talked about it. And I would bet that multiple people have reported this to each room a username was mentioned for in this thread too.
But given 1-4, it's understandable that less omaha players might be publicly inclined to post about this topic than otherwise would.
So its ok to lie cheat and steal, but only if your a nice and solid guy -gotcha
