We can, 24 table on the cool hours and then just sit out for another couple of hours afterwards on all those days. Good incentive to open the 24 tables imo.

Also, using the chat on those hours is important to get the message across.

Then stars wins. Abuse happy hour as much as you can and sit out the rest of the time

I like how you think. Yea, play the 1 hour to take as much as possible, then sit out the rest

I'll be doing the same. I know under 10nl wont be affected so much but I may one day get good at the game and be able to move up so I help get it sorted now.

definitely not. that would be the WORST time to sit out since stars would end up not having to give a lot of the extra vpps

Isn't the point to sit out indefinitely? Not just sit out for some hours and then start playing during happy hour. You're paying them rake then too, you know.

If protesters start playing during happy hour then this little promotion has helped Stars an extreme amount in fighting the protest!

Yeah we start sitting out on Jan 1st at noon eastern and don't stop sitting out ever until they make concessions we are happy with.

Srs screw that happy hour.

I always felt "one" with Stars and proud. Feels the opposite now. Like marriage and divorce...

If you don't like the changes at Stars just go somewhere else. Why do you think it's right to interfere with access to the fish for people who like the changes?

Where's the supposed dialogue that Stars wanted to have? doesn't exist!

jesus, don't let happy hour screw with you. A strike has a purpose and untill it's met it should go on (not untill stars offer some promotion for a couple of days and then asks you to bend over for the rest of the year)

lamest attempt by PS with the happy hour offer. Seriously, huge failure. And they start the promo after our 1/1 sitout lolz.

Should we actually play those happy hours and sit out the rest of the time for the entire Jan?

This is NOT the case.

If you start playing during Happy Hour just because you will get some extra VPPs/FPPs then Stars has effectively hurt the protest a ton!

Stars giving out extra VPPs is not important here. When you play during happy hour you're still paying them a ton of rake and enabling games to run, which gives them rake. You'd rather keep blocking games as much as you can to minimize the rake they receive.

You're NOT hurting them by playing during Happy Hour, you're HELPING them.

Do not let them **** with your mind, DON'T PLAY AT HAPPY HOURS.

You are protesting... are you going to stop just because ****stars throw you little bones for a couple of days and then **** you the rest of the year/poker carreer there?

This. The strike needs to be consistent and lengthy. Stars should look at their cash flow and go, "Oh, ****." Generating tons of rake for them during happy hours is going exactly the wrong direction.

For this to have any effect it's important for us to be unified, for us to argue about a small ****ty thing like happy hr is very stupid.

Also I find it quite disappointing stars posted that page online without making any response here or at the vip changes thread

Happy Hours is just that, It lasts exactly one hour every day, so instead of grinding for 8 hours in order to be on my individual pace, I only have to grind for 7.5 for one month in 2012 and be screwed for the other 11 months?

Uhm no, sorry but thats not good enough

Edit: I agree with the other posters, fellow striker dont be blinded by this happy hour promo!

point taken, not gonna play on happy hours. let's keep sitting out. I'd do it for as long as it takes. Even if it's a one month sit out.

Are all the nits gonna strike for just one day? How about they strike all year long, or go and get a proper job doing data entry? No one's gonna miss you.

Well, no matter how this turns out, the past 36 hours have educated a lot of ppl about the effect rake has.. . Just look at the amount of first posts in this or the other thread.
