4% sounds good and should amount to nits loosing a little under WC and LAGs gaining some. Would support 4%

My point, and the reason for my question was that if there's no real advantage to prefer a 6.5/7x VPP multiplier over decreased rake from 5%->4% then IMO that should be the first thing on our wishlist.

That's why I was asking what are the advantages of 7xVPP over decreased rake, b/c I can't really see any, whereas decreased rake has a huge advantage over 7xVPP, in that it makes fish lose less money rather than give them VPPs with which to buy caps.

WRT to the happy hour, and Pace Bonus, it looks like Stars might actually be doing the right thing and offering us an offset for January while talks/negotiations are under way. If this is the case, me likey.

I hope, however, that this is not meant to entice ppl to start grinding and thus forgo other sit-out protests past the 1st of January one (notice the promo starts on the 2nd of Jan)

Lol come on Stars. Something better than nothing, but we aren't dumb and this isn't going to help anything long-term and won't decrease our anger. If anything, I'm a bit more offended.

Happy hours for one month are not the the solution ! We want either permanent VPP multiplier, rake decrease or dealt system back !

I don't know if WE prefer that, but this is why I think it makes sense:
personally I would obviously prefer to pay less rake in the first place rather than getting more back. However we need to be reasonable with our requirements. Rake has gone up overall over the years and it will continue to do so. we cannot demand from pokerstars to lower rake by quiet a bit while the industry as such keeps increasing the rake.
Giving back more rather than taking more in the first place is obviously more attractive for the sites, since taking less means de facto getting less for them, while giving back more doesn't necessarily mean that they are really paying the same delta (because not all players spend all their points etc).
without having real meat number wise, I believe that 6.5x VPP in combo with 4.5% rake seems reasonable and fair to both sides.

Yeah looking over it it's just one hour every day which is super lame, even FTP had 4 happy hours per day and that was including when they used dealt rakeback

I hope this lame "VIP Club Blastoff" isn't their solution to our sitout. We're waiting for a real discussion with the Stars reps, not some sideshow smokescreen that fools droolers.

Steve you said that you guys are willing to talk with us and yet you stopped talking after that post. Having Daniel Negeranu wrote on hes twitter that he loves WC soooo much is jut not enough.

Now you think we will bow down and accept this one month of "happy" hours and let you guys get away with it for the rest of the year?

You guys at pokerstars are now starting to insult us.

Dear Pokerstars.
Have been playing there for almost 3 years now. This year I'm going to be 300k vpp player, last year was smth like 250k. I play FL 1/2-3/6. In order to keep your game alive, any and i mean ANY rake increase will dry it up. It is not possible to 24 table FL because of action all the time. Also it is not possible to be a consistant winner there anymore. Just take a look what happened to the winners - winrates for everybody are dropping like hell, not just me. Former well known coaches are fighting to be 0.1BB/100 winner. Edges are small, variance is huge and now when 95% people now starting hand chart games are quite hard to beat. Why there are almost no FL pro outside PS? Because of the rake.
Also on the business side - regs are the one who make you most of the money. Thankfully most of us have options in life. If we cannot do business together, you might have 3 fish instead of one reg, but in the long run you lose a bit more. It is important to keep the games playable. Poker is evolving which means it is getting tougher. It means less income for grinders. Let us share this with the operator as well. I have no idea about your financial numbers but I'm sure that profit margin for you is WAAAAAAAAAAAY higher than 99% other businesses.
But this is a typical western managerial attitude - best results in maximally short term. At the end of the day, we are the customers who pay a lot. Please listen, think about the long run. You could get tremendous results by increasing the rake by 200% for one day. Might not be working in the long run.

I hope you will handle this situation in a way which will become a textbook example for other online pokerrooms.

Best of luck.

has anyone even did the math yet on how much this will help your VPP in januari alone? say you hit 25K in jan and 15K in feb, those 40K vpp's will be worth 140000 fpp's for most people here which equates to:

140.000 * 0.016 = 2240$

now add your 300$ bonus:

2540$

This is an increase of 15% for the first 2 months, basically precisely what you guys want. Now if you put in play during the happy hours I'm sure that you can hit higher then 15% for those first 2 months.

I say be happy with what you are getting and if you are still very mad in march strike then.

You are getting those VPPs at a slower rate though...

You might get 15% more, but you have to play 20% more to get it.
