Hello xxx,

We regret to inform you that in light of recent developments,
PokerStars is no longer offering real money play to Malaysian residents.

We are currently assessing the situation, and will communicate
with all of our players as soon as possible.

same **** in Turkey also.
All of a sudden, all Turkish players are restricted from the tables .
I would like to congratulate Pokerstars for not noticing players.
All milestones, T$'s, fpps are gone.
Thank you Pokerstars.

If I'm not mistaken, in the past, in these situations, they've reimbursed T$ and FPP (think at bronze rate, but not sure).

Hello Best Player,

Thank you for your email, and we hope you are still going to enjoy your stay in Malaysia.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience. Indeed this is a newly introduced restriction.

Our management team regularly reviews our operations along with independent 3rd party professionals to assess the business risks and opportunities for our brands on a market-by-market basis. Following our most recent review, it was determined that we would no longer offer real money games in Malaysia.

These restrictions apply to all PokerStars account holders while located inside Malaysia.

Even if you are a citizen of another country, you will still need to comply with these restrictions while physically located in Malaysia.

Consequently, you will not be able to use real-money services while you are in Malaysia.
Please be aware that using any technique to try to circumvent our automated restrictions is also prohibited, and may lead to your account being closed and the funds therein seized.

Play-Money games will be still available for everyone to enjoy.

You may find more information on this by visiting our FAQ section via the following link:

http://www.pokerstars.com/poker/room/jurisdiction-faq/

Again, please accept our apologies for the inconvenience, we know this must be frustrating news for you.

Please let us know if you have further questions, we will be happy to assist.

Regards,

Zsolt

"Play-Money games will be still available for everyone to enjoy."

I'm sure that comes as great comfort.
