No one hacked anything although Intertops sent me a trojan. If that qualifies? In your scenario they would have to change the addy and email to get the money. They would then need to forge the docs. And photoshop a pic.

This could happen, I guess? I do however make this as difficult as I can. But if someone wants to go through with all of that. What can I do? What could Intertops do? This is why I'm so "crazy" about my personal info.

I think we can all safely say that no crook would do all those things. Then come here and post like I have and not be who I say I am.

The interpretation which you have chosen is that "you have supplied" relates to your identity. You don't supply your identity. Your identity is whatever it is. They reserve the right to verify your identity, and they reserve the right to verify the fidelity of the information you have supplied. They don't reserve the right to verify your identity you have supplied - that doesn't make sense. You can't supply them with an identity. If it said identification, you might have a leg to stand on here.

IOW, with better punctuation, it's:

Um, OK. Why would I? I don't see the relevance. One entity verifying your identity doesn't mean another one wouldn't want to do their own checks.

Whats so hard to understand, ITS THE SAME INFO! All matched. The receipt, ID, CC statement. All matched what I signed up with. What more do I need? They just sent me a damn flyer with my SN on it. They can do this but cant send my check?

Sure it does. It's an independent third party that I showed ID in full to. All matched with what I sent Intertops

Because they didn't ask to store or copy the photo or #. For my protection.

No, they most definitely don't go on for months about this issue and the money would be gone within a few days without you noticing it. Your attempts to interpret every little word out of the posts will not get you further either.

The point is they don't steal your identity, they want you to provide an ID that HAS NOT BEEN ALTERED IN ANY WAY. I am not sure why that is really so difficult to understand, but either way I am outta here because you don't seem to consider that anyways ... it is your money, not mine.

Best of luck, you will need it.

Says you. Everyone I asked that was versed in legalese agreed with me. Even if this is the case. WHos responsible for making it more clear? I am not the only one pointing this out. That it is vague and or misleading or confusing.

Respectfully, I have no idea what this means. Please excuse my ignorance. Are you saying they have the right to verify my photo and #? Against what? Or to verify the truthfulness of the info I have provided? All this is truthful and not showing my photo doesn't change that fact.

Please clarify if possible

I'm not expert, but I would guess they want to see your ID in it's complete state so they can more easily tell if it's real or fake.

I don't know why you have this constant obsession about them verifying your documents "against something". You say you are Jim Stevens, they want to verify that you really are Jim Stevens. They don't think an altered passport is sufficient for that. And yes, I understand that they don't know what Jim Stevens looks like, nor his passport number.

Says you. Well I don't take your word for it. I am sorry this offends you. If you watched the video you would know it could be the trashman, janitor or worker there. Really anyone.

You telling me Intertops is keeping an eye on all of them for me?lol How bout they just give me my check and neither one of us has to worry about all them.

Exactly.
If I did fake the ID couldn't I then fake the photo and #?
Or are the wanna-be CSI guys here and at Intertops still not convinced? Or am I still guilty of what?? Oh yes they can figure out the forgery when there is none. And here I was fixin to take over the world. Damn you CSI Intertops!! Damn you CSI 2+2!!You foiled my masterplan!!

Bobo is there any alternative? You understood where I was coming from earlier. I believe you understand my identity concerns now. Can we forget about the arguing over, I don't even know at this point. And think of a way to have both sides agree. So we can all do something more constructive?

I've been over this before - we all know there is no 100% foolproof means of confirming your identity. Does this mean they should throw up their hands and say forget it? They need to draw their line on what a credible ID is somewhere; in your case it seems an unaltered passport is that point.

What more is there to say? I have no idea what concerns Intertops may have, nor does anyone else here other than the rep and maybe you. It's up to you and them to resolve it or move on.

Have I not tried? What happens when they don't answer? Or anything? Sorry If I made you angry or have wasted your time. This whole thing is pissing me off pretty good now.

I was going to, but that is actual tampering with. It opens a whole new can of worms that I wish not to open.

Why do I have to go to such lengths and forge my real ID?LOL To get my money back?

This all seems quite silly. Don't you think?

No idea; you say you have. And AFAIK, they have answered numerous times, haven't they? And I don't anger that easy.

Yup - giving them your real one seems much easier. Or moving on if you can't come to an agreement. But arguing endlessly here sure seems like an unproductive use of time.

you don't "have to go to such lengths"

you could just send them your ID

Whats funny is that besides them just giving me my money. This is the best idea on how to overcome this problem. I need to fake my real passport. In order for a company to verify something that they can't verify. So I can get the money back, that I have a receipt for. After I have had my real fake, or was it my fake real? Whatever, seen by Moneygram.

All this, to protect me? Or them? From something??? Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Are you saying my security concerns are unfounded? If they wouldn't send me their photo's and what not. Why should I? We would both agree on why we wouldn't want to send it to each other. Are you saying I shouldn't be treated with the same respect as I would give?

It's not a waste of time for me and you don't know what my plans are.

They aren't playing poker on your site, and you aren't a company putting your reputation on the line. If you don't want to send them your ID, that's your prerogative of course, but the parallels you're drawing, well, aren't very parallel.

Send the ID, or don't; I don't really care. But it's time for you to give up online poker, because I don't know of any site where I could guarantee you the exact same thing couldn't happen.

I am trying to give up online pokerz. This being the biggest reason why. Thank you Intertops, Full Tilt, UB and the others for your part in ruining z pokerz for me'z.

I agree, get me out of here with my info intact. I have learned my lesson. I really don't trust any of them! Please give me my monies back.

Re: Intertops cashout issue?

I dont really see a problem with blocking out the picture and identification number. Obv the address though needs to not be blanked out, the site needs to verify you are who you say you are to make sure it is in fact you who is initiating a withdraw and although there is no foolproof way of them verifying this, an unedited address on a government issued i.d.d should suffice. Its the same as blocking out the cc numbers and cvv off a card. Betfair one of the uk's biggest betting outfits recently had a security breach, and with the constant state of online poker and rouge employees in general I can see his fear in identity theft and or getting junk mail and name sold to other companies.
