Hello.

I love Hero poker and recommend to friends all the time.

I have a few issues that could make the software A+ rather than B+ imo.

1. In satellites, why does play continue even after every player remaining has won the top prize?

2. Tournament tickets should be able to be used for tourneys under their $ value. ($33 ticket can't buy into a $11 tournament...)
I loved the FTP "tournament dollars" system.

Thanks for the excellent customer support btw.

+1 to what capital says, these would be great improvements

+1, 2 and 3 I love tournament dollars like FTP and Stars had.

I think this is a merge thing.

Players don't have the ear of Merge personnel. So if it is a Merge issues or a skin specific issue, the only thing to do is deal with the skin.

Exactly, this is just another skin on the Merge network. Not so appealing now is it?

Guys the sitngo leaderboard is in your player admin, but again, we should get a feed on the website for you guys.

1. It is a merge thing

2. It is the way it was set up as coupons and not like tournament dollars like Stars, so the coupon -even if the same amount- will only work for a specific tournament. I believe new tournaments are set up to accept a greater variety of tickets.

And to just respond to some other points; we all share the same network and client software for our own reasons, but there are always going to be pluses and minuses. Our relationship with Merge is very good, but again, things are done by priority; I mean to say, in the last month and half there have been a number of on going and consistent changes and they will continue.

So keep the comments coming, they are forwarded to Merge, there has been progress, and frankly, at times there were major delays for any changes, but as I've mentioned before; the framework has been put in place to take of the revisions related to tournament set-up and these revisions will still be on going.

Best,
David

LOL I think your username speaks volumes. Yes for what's left for US players Hero's customer service is the best there is! The games are decent and the site has listened to what the players want and have made changes as quickly as they can. As far as cash outs, it's not easy getting money on and off sites for US players and this is what causes the delays. We should just be thankful there is still somewhere for US people to play.

I just made an account on hero.....yay......can I receive a transfer from another player even though I haven't yet made a cash deposit of my own?

And what is the play-through requirement (if any) before I can request a cashout.

And what do I have to do to be able to transfer funds to someone else? My guess is document verification or something....how long does this process take?

Thanks

From personal experience, you can receive a transfer from another player, even if you haven't deposited yet.

I was told by support that the only restriction was that I'd have to wait 4 days before I was able to withdraw the transferred amount.

In order to be able to transfer funds to another player, your account must be verified. From the client, go to Player Admin, then choose Account Verification. I utilized the File upload feature to submit my documents one evening, and was verified the next day (about 16 hours later).

Just fill out the account verification form in your player administration area and send the form and a copy of your ID to support or use the file upload in the player admin.

I takes about a day for support to get you up and running.

Hi Dave, noticed today that the text on the tournament tables has changed to heropoker.co.uk from heropoker.com

Just a preemptive thing or is there anything to be concerned about with the change?
11-23-2011 , 09:06 PM
Was there anything else in todays update?

Thanks very much for answering this as good as I could (or better) =)

Yes, first step, just get your account verified, then just follow up with support, we can always do a manual transfer for you, just email us at marketing@heropoker.com

Actually, I believe it was changed back in another update as the programers are going through a number of revisions on our site, namely, the VIP redemption issue that we've been having-

I assume that the .co.uk changes were there on one of the pre production clients, but it is something that we have prepared, but is just part of stand by preemptive preparations.

We're basically working on sorting out the VIP issue as it is not redeeming points correctly, so I will have to follow up on this tomorrow with the developers: you are earning the points correctly, but some players have 0/3 beside their redemption points even though they have yet to redeem any VIP points. The issue is that the system wasn't actually designed for 300 level (in theory yes), but in practice as I add more complications to tweak it, there seems to be some wires crossed and the updates today were in part to sort this out.

Cheers,
David

Haven't checked this thread in a while but has the process of trading tourney coupons for cash been automated yet?

Dave,
Not sure you ever answered this concretely. I remember it was stated that Hero would not be accepting US players again, but it later became a little nebulous. What is the story now?
11-24-2011 , 01:37 PM
to the best of my knowledge, HeroPoker is again accepting U.S. players, attempt to create an account, it should work.
(or just email support, support@heropoker.com)

i looked into withdrawl options and it says the max is $2500, is there a way to increase this? are checks the only option? how long do cashouts take? is there a limit of x number of cashouts per month or w/e?

thanks

Hey Dave,

How about asking Merge to synchronize breaks for the tournaments? The ones that start at :10 and :40 have their own breaks, which is kind of foolish. I mean, eventually, we all have to take some kind of break and if the main tournies are breaking at :55 they all should.

As for cash games...there'll be 3 tables filled with each sometimes having 8 or 9 players waiting, then those same 8 or 9 will be shown waiting at a table that has 1 person on it. If the system can recognize my preference to sit at a table with 6 or 7 or 8 others, surely it can recognize other players' preferences as well. If we're all "waiting" outside an empty table it should pull us in and start a fresh, full table.
