They better participate in the ME's tomorrow for Maximus... All these people complaining ab people not signing up for free rolls are hilarious.. It's not worth the space that tournament takes up on the screen for MTT'ers to play and maybe win $10-25(MTT king high/low are diff). And what u need to realize is if all u ever do is play free rolls or $1 sng's, ur not a "player" for hero, ur a leach. Who wants to run a site like the US govt?? punishes players/earners to support free loaders/leaches

Not talking about freerolls, they have hundreds entering every day. Talking about the Chosen Ones promo that require 60 VIP's to enter. It's a lotto so it doesn't require time spent playing. It's not a freeroll. It's not a tournament. It's a lotto and you can win it while sleeping. That promo hasn't run lately because it needs 20 registrants to go off. Last night only 15 entered. Same as night before. The point is Hero doesn't have many players earning VIP's anymore or so it seems. The players earning VIP's are the non-leaches. They earn money for the site. They are the ones that deserve the promos more than those who you call the free loaders/leaches. If you don't have players earning VIP's you go broke. If the free loaders/leaches from the freerolls don't use that money to earn VIP's and just lose it or dump it then it's not a very good marketing tool. The Chosen One is a good marketing tool because it encourages players to earn VIP's to qualify for it. See the difference?

Pretty sure if they didn't participate in every other Maximus tournament they aren't going to be in the ME's. That would defeat the whole purpose of dropping out in the first place don't you think?

PM#33 125K is offered by Hero for tomorrow if that is what you are asking.

Good luck!

Too bad I'll be playing on Carbon already. If they are going to offer the ME I'm not sure why they didn't offer many others. So much fail.

Hey guys, I recently contacted hero support via email about deposit methods for us players and got a very generic basic answer that leaves me in the same situation as I started in.

My question is how are US players getting money onto/off this website? I only see a cash transfer and ewallet option. I have never used either of these so any insight on how these 2 options work for US players would be very helpful. Also what are the withdrawal options?

Damn, I was thinking of moving over to Hero since RPM closed up shop. Guess they're both in the same boat though. And that boat is leaving the Merge dock.

I'll miss Dave and Hero if this is the case. Dave was the best thing about Merge, at least for me.

Dave has not been around for 2 weeks - I don't give Hero another 2 days - Better use all your vip points and coupons before they close-up this weekend!!!!

US players are mostly depositing via WU/MG as CC haven't been working that well on the Merge Cashier which Hero uses. Ewallet is not available for US players. Your only withdrawal option by default will be checks, $2500 max each, and in most cases approved in 2 weeks (or less) nowadays.

It would be a good idea to use up points and MTT tickets just in case given his absence and what has happened with RPM today, and the uncertainty as to how their points/tickets will be handled.

It was a good run while it lasted though. I have used all my points and tc's.

Just for peoples interest i requested a WU cashout Dec. 13th and received Dec. 15th via hero....So i am not sure what to believe now but hoping for best.I love Hero mainly because i am able to get responses to my questions or problems so fast via Dave and his crew.It will be a sad day if they are forced to close.....

Withdrawal times aren't much of an indicator of anything about Hero other than that the Merge cashier still has liquidity and is paying out. I just received a cashout by check in less than 2 days, too, which is great, but it doesn't really mean anything as far as the future of the Hero skin itself (except that it indicates that players' money is probably safe no matter what happens, which is huge of course).

I also hope everything works out okay for Dave no matter what happens with Hero. It seems like players funds are safe so he should be able to come out on the other side okay regardless.

Yea I hope Hero stays open and on Merge, I've been pleased and impressed with CEO Dave and Hero's customer service since I've been playing there, I'm close to my Legionnaire bonus as well so please stay open :-)

I think we all played on Hero mostly because of Dave and his honesty in matters concerning his players. It will sorely be missed and I doubt any of us ever get that level of service again in our lifetime. To be honest, I was hoping Merge would put him in an executive position as he is a huge asset for the network.

The only thing points can be used for is tournament entry correct? I'm on RB, so if I were to switch to VIP all my points would disappear correct?

If you suspect the possibility of your skin closing up shop, it's almost certainly correct to try to convert those points to $$$ asap. In other situations where skins have closed up shop on Merge, players' balances have been safe but they have lost their points. For a VIP player, that may mean converting to cash bonuses, but for someone on rakeback, that means playing tournaments with your points and trying to get some equity out of them that way.

Yes, use all your points tonight!@

What do you mean? Everything looks normal here, unless you're talking about the late night ones that are gone because (I think) of scheduled maintenance.
12-18-2012 , 12:01 AM
I haven't seen anything about scheduled maintenance. No mtts until 1:15am? Seems longer than usual if so.

Fellow Players,

I have it on good authority that Hero's departure will be similar to RPM's. I do not have the full details, but it would be extremely prudent to convert or use as many of your VIP points and MTT tickets as you can now based on what happened with RPM. I assume this to be imminent...
