So david this should mean that every tourney with a buyin of 10$ and under with prizepools above 1750$ are staying?

Based on what I see in the lobby, it seems to mean any tourney over $11 that has any kind of guarantee, and any tourney $11 or under that has a guarantee over $1750. The exception is the Sunday majors, and the Sunday $109 PLO8, that are still listed. I think it's possible that these are either still to be removed, or that they're only going to be available this weekend and that's it, but I'll let Dave clarify.

It would be nice if at least the Sunday majors and Weekly 7's stayed, because A) they pretty much always hit the guarantees as far as I see, and B) it would be nice to have a place to use $33/$60/$109 tickets. If those tournaments are going to be removed, Hero will need to look at cleaning up the satellites, because you can't really let people play satellites to win tickets they can't use .

It would also be nice to have clarification one way or the other on Maximus. Merge finally added a bunch of nice $33 and $60 PLO8/Stud/HORSE tourneys to Maximus that I really want to play. I understand why Hero would be hesitant with Maximus since they got slaughtered on some of the guarantees last time, it would be nice to at least be able to play some Maximus events, even if it's a limited schedule of the lower buy-in and lower guarantee stuff that has a low overlay risk.

Thanks for the update btw, Dave.

Well I personally think the tourneys 11$ and under normally never have any overlays and to take half the 11$ tourneys off the schedule like a couple 2k guarantees 2500 guarantees and the 3500 and the 3re 4.40re 5.50re just leaves to little meat left to play and would force me to switch. And it seems silly when as I said they almost always meet the prizepool.

Let me start by saying Dave has always provided the best service available on any US facing site since BF. He's worked hard to build a good brand with a good reputation and this is very unfortunate. Hopefully he can survive this but it really sucks for MTT players.

I was one who played on Hero for the first few months but then took a backing deal on another skin. Since the backers have had to pull players off Merge due to no P2P transfers I was hoping to go back to Hero on my own dime, at least for Poker Maximus, but now that isn't really an option.

So sad with so few sites for US players that Merge/Carbon has be so awful at running a business.

Good luck Dave, you're the greatest.

Hey guys, I've been following the migration of carbon to a new cashier. I looked at the forums and it seems like the only options they have now is checks and bank wires... but the timeframe for both is 6-8 weeks. So maybe don't panic yet and stay on HERO for the time being and see what happens before you deposit into carbon. 6 -8 weeks is ridiculous, and pretty much putting in money to get it locked.

I would love to see Dave merge(no pun attended) with ACR. Mixing his commitment and customer service with what ACR is offering is win-win for everyone involved.

Why? WPN is a rake factory with 95% BBJ tables down to 5NL.

Also it was suggested ages ago that they have the bet filter default to PL when you hit Omaha on the game type selection button. That has never been addressed and the game probably suffers bc of it.

I really don't see the point playing there.

To be honest Dave had the strong commitment early on and hasnt been around of late and **** has started to hit the fan and now we hear he is going to pretty much start from the bottom up again. No disrespect to Dave as im sure he is a very busy dude but to just start throwing praises out there like hes been there to help the last couple months is false.I just hope he can return hero to the skin that attracted me the most.

I posted this yesterday after declaring a withdrawl at hero poker. This morning I woke up to my account logged off and saying " my account has been suspended". I am wondering what is exactly going on? I have not broken one merge rule and have been playing for only 7 days.

Are we going to be getting the 100seatsto100k freeroll back are another type of promo to replace the weekly $1500? since hero opted out of that freeroll to fund weekly chosen one.
11-08-2012 , 01:03 PM
Doubtful since Hero is going to remove all MTTs above $10
11-08-2012 , 02:10 PM
any chance the sng freerolls go back to $5 prizepools instead of $1 ? thats what hero did int he start and it brought in alot of players. it was the main reason i was able to go from $0 to $8000 i'd def. like to see them brought back

Where else should Hero Poker go? Revolution? Where Lock has proven in the past how shady it has become and cash out is just as bad or worse? Stay on Merge where the small skins are being screwed over by the bigger ones? Merge losing a ton of it's ROW base due to FTP re-opening hasn't helped either.

All signs point to the Winning Poker Network (Yatahay)!

Hey Guys,

really quickly, about the tournament tickets for bigger buy-ins,
We are working on things so that Hero will participate in Poker Maximus 3,
we will have more details in about 2 weeks, but it is our intention that we will have our players participate in all or nearly all Poker Maximus 3 events.

Best,
Dave

WPN isn't accepting new operators so I don't see a high likelihood of this particular scenario taking place.

Hey david, please bring back the weekly chosen one... that's a main reason alot of us prefer HERO and it motivates us to grind more to make the points. I know HERO is struggling but maybe with a lower guarantee or something.
11-09-2012 , 10:02 PM
I'd rather have the fees refunded for deposits and withdrawls back instead of the weekly chosen one. Maybe have it where you can have 15$ refunded in the 5 to 10 times range (whatever number Hero thinks is fair, 5 times would be better than nothing) a year at most so people wont overdue it. Anything over that in any year then the player pays the fees.

the 1500 weekly was the only good thing about hero. hopefully something else can replace it, and with only low stakes tournies I can't see hero surviving.

Sorry if you don't like the truth. WPN with it's current offerings are crap.

What makes you think 'IF' Hero wanted to move that they are limited to USA accepted networks? They're not.
