To be fair, at least this guys post isn't riddled with stupidity like most rigatrds but as usual there is no actual content and some seriously flawed logic.

If you rigtards are incapable of keeping records / providing data yourselves, how about you tell us EXACTLY how things are being rigged and maybe people will try and provide some data of their own.

that theory would apply to live cardrooms as well, no? in fact - here's why I feel the temptation would be higher for them...

the live cardrooms gotta pay the bills too! online sites don't have to air condition the place for all their players or vacuum up the crud they leave all over the floor after eating greasy sandwiches at the table and sucking down all the free drinks (paid for by the house...) for hours on end. also, somebody's gotta clean the bathrooms - plus toilet paper and them pucks in the urinals ain't free either...

the most frequent motive mentioned as to why an online site would rig the deal is greed. it seems to me that with operating costs lower and volume of play higher, sites would be more profitable, thus less likely to be greedy enough to jeopardize their reputation.

if the reason they'd do it is to increase profitability, then that same skepticism needs to be applied to every single business in any industry where extra money can be made by doing something dishonest.

Do not underestimate the power of the notepad!

Yes, he does suck. The complete argument lacks the most essential component. What is to be gained for PS an FT?

If this question is not explored, and explained in a plausible manner, then the whole argument becomes simple paranoia and medication may be the answer.

So for the "hard of thinking" paranoid (or unlucky?) losers who feel that they are being played a trick on:

1. These sites are NOT the players you play. They merely charge entry fees etc.... and they make a bundle doing that. So what stands to be gained by screwing you in particular (and maybe ur son, if he has your poker genes)? Nothing.

2. Everything about frequency of hands being played online vs. a casino.

3. The sin of memory where the negative stands out. This is not only in poker, but a general find in cognitive psychology: The mind focuses on bad experiences so that we can learn from them and avoid them in the future. You should learn more from your play, probably.

4. How can such a childish claim come from someone old enough to have a son? Or even a fully functioning reproductive organ?

is there any winning players who wouldn't keep their mouths shut even if they think it's rigged 'cause it's their main resource of income? is there any winning players who think that their winnings are beeing limited by site, but they keep their mouths shut 'cause they still can make solid money? and is there any winning players who read this section of forum or this thread? and i don't talk about winning players who make 1000$ a month, i talk about WINNING players.

i wonder if we could somehow provide anonymous poll where WINNING players with live and online playing experience would give their opinion about online poker. how could we do that?

no i mean it like this - let's say trusted forum member (some mod for example) registers new e-mail address. he contacts 25 or more WINNING players (which we choose in this thread) and he gives to each of those players this e-mail (username and password) so they could log in. then they send from this e-mail to mod's e-mail their anonymous opinion about is online poker rigged or not. this way everyone stays anonymous and trusted person who will receive e-mails will not falsify information.

wacha think guys?

Re: The great "Poker is rigged debate" - Collected threads edition

why doesn't someone just round up everyone's HH that builds up to at least 100 million(preferably greater) hands and analyze it? I've only seen examples of people analyzing their own HH which isn't enough. everyone should just do this for every poker site and then it should in theory prove whether it's rigged or not. however, it could also just prove that the RNG isn't good, so it wouldn't necessarily prove it's rigged. a lot of factors.

I'm sure I'm not the only one with this idea so someone should just do it.

You wont find anything, and even if you do they will come up to a conclusion that it is due to cards that was dealt to other players.

So the Internet is full of claims of rigging online poker. Forget about the hearsay. Consider the next 10 images (or so) from the recent
FT20090413 50 FTP Sat to $1 Million Sat - (87423793) with an open mind ...

Re: The great "Poker is rigged debate" - Collected threads edition

So what are the chances of getting AA in 4 out of 5 hands

P(AA) = 4/52 * 3/51 = 1/221
P(4x AA) = 1/221 * 1/221 * 1/221 * 1/221 = 1/2,385,443,281
P(4x AA in 5 hands) = 5 * 220/221 * 1/2,385,443,281 = 1/479,257,241

So that's not a very likely event
